Is the UK about to have a district heating scandal? One needs to ask if house builders and Heat providers are cashing in on installing incorrect heat specification generating extra cash?

Good content. Thanks.
Despite all of the negative press on house builders, in the recent past, I have held onto mine. I don't see any reason to sell at the present time.

Quite happy to remain a shareholder here and benefit from the growth and dividends/capital returns. With projects like the one below I think we should be fine.

Ed McCoy, Sales Director at Barratt London, said: “We are very excited to be celebrating this stage in the building programme for Lombard Wharf. We hope the building will be a great addition to this part of the riverside and its iconic design together with its location, just a short walk from Clapham Junction, should also make it very popular with those looking to move into the area.“

Last November, Lombard Wharf was Highly Commended in the 'Best Design for Four Storeys or More category at the Housebuilder Awards.

PS. Not that I rate DB given all their supposed financial issues this piece is also positive for BDEV:

proactive investors.co.uk/companies/news/174202/building-stocks-deutsche-bank-looks-at-potential-budget-winners-and-losers-174202.html

Its sector top picks are Barratt Developments (LON:BDEV), Taylor Wimpey (LON:TW.) and the aforementioned McCarthy & Stone.

Unfortunately you will have to edit the two spaces out of the link above if you want to see it as ADVFN are censoring it :-( Obviously a bit dated now as before the budget early last month.

Fair do's taffee, you are giving open and honest opinion. We always need both sides of the coin. I hope that you are wrong or at least right, but not until I get another 20% out of this badboy

Everyone has different views that's the joy of share trading and investing.... If shares drop and property does too then cash earning little or no interest effectively increases in value

had an agent value on our house On Friday. he reports market strong.

as far as the stock market goes, caution necessary. but if I was as pessimistic as Taffee I would have missed the rise since December last year since when the portfolio is up by over 10%. there is a also risk to your future wealth in not being in the market.

Average repayments on a 250 k house with 10 percent deposit less than 20 pounds a day - extraordinarily cheap - house prices outside London probably undervalued - chew that over taffee

I agree with salver2, sorry taffee, but your? negativity is the reason I took my profits out at 20%, when I could still be holding at around 40%. I have decided to stop listening to rampers and derampers and just DMOR

Lol! Us bears banked good money on the recent 50% fall.

Mortgage rates are likely to rise after US rate hikes.

If you believe the UK property bubble will go on forever and the base rate will stay 0.25% forever then more fool you

This is also second longest bull run in history and stocks only more overpriced in 1929 and 1999

Good luck getting out if it crashes when brokers don't answer phones and their website mysteriously crashes

Further Buy recommendation from Deutsche today with a price target of 678p.
With good results from Persimmon today as well, I'm surprised at the damp response in share price. Perhaps waiting for Taylor Wimpey to report tomorrow.

Already known from their previous update. But if they can weather that by increasing profit at the same time I'd say that points to a very healthy business. They do say they expect a significant uplift in completions in London in the second half of the year, so next trading update may shed some light on that.

London completions down 56%, is not a good omen.
