Picked up abit of intel from a pal who works in this sector,he suggested that Baron Oil have caught the interest of a major Bahrain investor who has connections with Barons new boss.If that comes to pass we will see many new eyes on this IMO

Would not suprise me at all to see something like that happen, the prize on offer for them would be hard to resist surely.Game on here soon IMVHO

Tbh your +0.20 average is one of the highest around if you still need higher to breakeven, in recent years it spiked past that only when the CPR & 3D landed (there was an occasion when it did circa 500% before that in the early days of Chuditch acquisition, it tagged 0.50), more recently February of this year it tagged 0.175. The median here is circa 0.10 and spikes up from there. The current share price is near all time lows, usually doesn't last for long down here before climbing and is an opportune time to average down, but you have to do what is right for you.

Afraid I am the king of averaging down with this one, done it a few times thinking this has to be the bottom, each time the share price has drifted lower... I will hold what I have for now and hope for a bull run after some excellent news regardimng the impending farm down and drilling...(or company buy-out) I can but hope both will happen!

Simon, not financial advice but maybe consider taking advantage of these low prices if you believe in the upside to bring your average down. If you have the means to do so. One for you to weigh up.

I would need a lot more to break even than .2 but am willing to take a reduced loss if it provided some finality and something significantly higher than today's share price I have been here for so long I would love to see it just go!

Simon a take out at a decent price is welcome. Those companies mentioned in the article all have deep pockets and can easily buy out boil.Personally will take 0.20p now but I guess many long term holders would want more.

We can only hope Jungmana, it's been a long journey, we need a change in fortune!
My personal preference is for the company to be taken out lock stock....

From that brilliant article from a reputable source:"Significantly, the exciting opportunity is thought to have attracted interest from LNG investors. Baron Oil is seeking investors to back the relatively low-risk appraisal drilling campaign at the Chuditch gas field offshore East Timor. Possible suitors include Eni, Inpex, Santos, Petronas, and even Chinese national oil companies (NOCs), for the potential LNG project, as ENB reported last November."

I don't deal in bulletin board rumour. The news we know is due at any moment now. We've had the Technical Site Survey and much needed Board changes thanks to shareholder activism. Next up is the big one Rig Contract and Farm-Out/Drill funding partnerships.

The overhang has completely gone, we've traded over 26bn shares since the placing which is over x4 times placing since the raise 2 months back. We're cashed up to the tune of circa £7m. I'm expecting a significant rerating.

"valuation for the Chuditch project unchanged at US$190m. This assumes a farm-down in Baron’s interest from 60% to 30%...Based on 25.51bn shares outstanding post Feb 15, 2024 raise, the risked valuation is 0.595p/share"

"success case Chuditch valuation remains at US$683m" thats circa 3p.
