From RNS on 24/12/14. If Rudolph was here we'd have done this drill by now.

hxxp://www.baronoilplc.com/newpress/2014/progress-on-exploration-block-xxi-onshore-peru/

Rudolph Berends Chairman/CEO commented:

“We have made steady progress this year on Block XXI and our comprehensive EIA process is almost complete. We are currently designing the seismic programme and have two exploration wells planned for later in 2015 after we acquire and interpret the seismic data. We currently have sufficient cash resources within the company to acquire and interpret all the seismic data and drill two exploration wells on this block while retaining a 100% ownership”.

They have known the escrow cash would be returned long before they got it so no doubt they have been actively pursuing opportunities given they are being paid to do something you would think.

Not sure on xx1, too high risk to fund it at 100%?. Better options out there to put your money imo. xx1 is however the easy option for the bod if they can't bring anything else very decent to the table which I would find unbelievable if they cannot.

It better not be going on more Northern Ireland type of carp projects too or across UK.

Last chance for this company and its board to get it right.

Cash is king in a depressed market so no excuses.

I am happy to wait if it means we announce a 50% farm-in to a couple of fields for around $1.5 million each, with drilling taking place within a few weeks.

The reverse of XX1, but cherry picked by the board.

Perhaps if the board had a few shares they might think differently.
A gesture to drop their salaries until a deal is done would have been welcome, but no the company keeps paying out. After two years of share price/ value destruction since this new board took over we don't even get that!.

Seems the days of rewarding failure still exist.

Good point, joetricky. This BOD are still drawing salaries from a pot which is currently a long way from any form of replenishment. There doesn't appear to be anything going on operationally so the least they can do to justify their continued employment is to rectify those issues you've raised. It's inexcusable that the company website is in such a mess.

Can't wait for the next news. As Joetricky says the news could come from any quarter.

I topped up today in anticipation.

All the best

Might as well stay here Maja. That comment about staying in the oil and gas industry or looking for other opportunities from the last RNS might see us in the bit coin market !!!Anyway my guess is that next news will be XX1. Or it could be something from SE Asia. Or it could be something completely different. I just wish someone would roll a six and get us going.

Hi nlmbidc .... Just to point you in the right direction, google Frontera Energy, formerly Pacific Rubiales, and look at their Q1 results for 2017. Page 14.

$200k for 100% of a monster block, three fields producing and lots more potential.
