UNITED NATIONS, April 15. /TASS/. Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya has called the UN Security Council's emergency meeting on Iran's retaliatory strike against Israel a parade of hypocrisy and double standards.

"You know very well that an attack on a diplomatic mission is a casus belli under international law. And if Western missions were attacked, you would not hesitate to retaliate and prove your case in this room. Because for you, everything that concerns Western missions and Western citizens is sacred and must be protected," he said at a UN Security Council meeting convened in the wake of the Iranian attack on Israeli military installations.

"Today, the Security Council is witnessing such a parade of Western hypocrisy and double standards that it is even somewhat uncomfortable to watch," the diplomat said.

Amid the sharp escalation in the Middle East, Iran reinforced its air defense, preparing to the possible Israeli attacks on its territory. The Russian-made Avtobaza-M electronic warfare system was spotted in the Iranian capital Tehran.

The first deliveries of the Russian Avtobaza-M complexes to Iran were reported back in 2011. The first footage confirming their deployment in Iran was leaked in 2016.

The Avtobaza-M complex of electronic intelligence is designed for detection, classification and subsequent trajectory tracking of air and sea targets by passive radio-electronic means installed on them. The Avtobaza-M ground-based electronic reconnaissance complex allows monitoring coordinates and other basic parameters of targets and automatically transmitting them to the command posts of air defense units. The Avtobaza-M ground-based electronic intelligence complex includes 4 detection and direction finding stations and an information processing station.

This is a critical system for protecting the existing air defense network from electronic warfare by interfering with GPS, radar and satellite signals at high altitude and at long range, as well as for a surprise attack on enemy aircraft and attacking systems, exposing them to EW.

The deployment of additional systems confirms that the Iranian military strengthened its air defense including in the capital amid the possible response to the massive night attack on Israel. LINK

Saudi and the UAE have warned of Iran’s expansionist intentions into their territories. If Iran’s attack is unanswered, there will be no deterrence at all. The only way to reinstate deterrence is to make Iran pay a heavy price. I would suggest bombing all their nucIear development sites.

Iran may or may not have a domestic nuclear device. But they can certainly get one from their outsourced development lab in North Korea in 72 hours. Without a firm military response from the West, the next attack may have a completely different result. America need a stronger President.. .

The ongoing Russian advances in different directions on the Ukrainian frontlines demonstrate the inability of the Ukrainian army to hold its defensive positions and save control of its territories. The constant precision strikes by Russian drones and missiles on military and industrial rear facilities have put the entire country on the edge of collapse. Various experts in Russia, Ukraine and abroad believe that the turning point in the war may come in the near future, and that the Russian military will break through the front.

The night of April 12 was marked by a new wave of strikes on Ukrainian-controlled territories. UAVs hit targets in Kyiv, Krivoy Rog and Starokonstantinov as well as in the Odessa, Zaporozhie and Vinnytsia regions.

According to local reports, Russian drones have again hit the Ladyzhenskaya TPP in the Vinnytsia region. Ukrainian authorities attempted to partially restore operation of this large power generation facility after the previous Russian attacks, but in vain.

More Russian Geran drones have as usual reached the Starokonstantinov military airfield in the Khmelnitsky region, which was previously supposed to welcome F-16 jets from NATO. All attempts by the Ukrainian military to restore its infrastructure also turned out to be futile due to the constant devastating Russian strikes.

More explosions thundered in the areas of the Zaporozhye region which are still under control of the Kiev regime. Fire damage was inflicted on the areas of deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, of their colleagues from the Main Intelligence Directorate, as well as on weapons storage depots.

Despite all the attempts of the Kiev regime and its Western patrons to assure the public of the threat of genocide of the Ukrainian people and cruelty of the Russian military, the ongoing massive Russian strikes all across Ukraine led to no civilian casualties.

Moscow officially highlighted that based on humanitarian considerations it did not launch massive strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure in winter in order not to leave the civilian facilities without electricity. Russian President Putin explained that the strikes on the energy system serve the goal of demilitarization of Ukraine. This is the primary way to affect its military-industrial complex.

Suffering from an acute shortage of ammunition and horrific losses of military personnel, the defending Ukrainian units found themselves in probably the most vulnerable situation on the frontlines. Meanwhile, the lack of effective air defense systems prevent the Ukrainian military from protecting its rear. The battered Ukrainian defense may not stand up to much more of this and this will lead to the collapse of the front and the beginning of a large-scale Russian offensive.

According to Russia’s representative to the UN, ‘very soon the only topic for negotiations would be the unconditional surrender of the Kiev regime’ and Moscow advised the West to prepare for this.

FRENCH MILITARY DEPLOYED IN SLAVYANSK, DONETSK PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC – REPORT

The first reports from Ukrainian frontlines confirmed deployment of the French military in the Donbass. The first unit of the French Foreign Legion reportedly arrived in the area of the city of Slavayansk in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

According to reliable sources, a unit from the 3rd infantry regiment of the French Foreign Legion, which included about 100 servicemen, has been transferred to the Slavyansk direction before being sent to the frontlines. The unit includes the engineering group and aviation intelligence specialists of the 3rd Infantry Regiment of the Legion. Apparently, this is only the first group of French servicemen deployed in Ukraine, more forces are yet to come.

The first French military came to the city of Slavyansk on April 11. According to some reports, they are currently based at the location of the 54th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to other reports, they are under the command of the 7th Separate Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The French militants are moving around the city only accompanied by the Ukrainian military.

The French unit reportedly includes specialists in artillery reconnaissance, as well as an engineering group specialised in building of field fortifications. Most likely, these French will take part in building the defense lines around Slavyansk, preparing for the breakthrough of the donbass front by Russian troops. At the same time, the reconnaissance units are likely to support the Ukrainian military on the frontlines.

The first obituaries are yet to confirm the deployment of the deployment of the French military in Ukraine, while Paris is still denying the reports about its forces being sent to Ukraine. In March 2024, SouthFront revealed that the French military was preparing the special battalion tactical group for deployment in Ukraine. This group should include about 1,500 military personnel not only from the members of the Foreign Legion but also servicemen of the Ministry of the Armed Forces of France. The French battalion tactical group should complete combat coordination in mid-April and be ready for deployment abroad. The Foreign Intelligence Service and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation officially confirmed the information.

Moreover, on March 18, two first aircraft with French military onboard were spotted landing at Sofia airport in Bulgaria, from where the french servicemen were supposedly transfered through Romania to Odessa.
