UK house prices fall at fastest annual pace since July 2009

Nationwide chief economist Robert Gardner said: "The housing market reached a turning point last year as a result of the financial market turbulence which followed the mini-Budget. Since then, activity has remained subdued - the number of mortgages approved for house purchase remained weak at 43,500 cases in February, almost 40% below the level prevailing a year ago.

Tory Green Cult,

This Government have totally lost the plot in their endeavour to look good to the World whilst making themselves look stupid in the process. They have no idea what they are doing and have no idea how people are living. People will not take one bit of notice of their ludicrous ideals which are completely unsustainable and completely unrealistic. We are being Governed by a bunch of idealistic idiots and they are costing us financially along with us being in a constant state of what the hell are they going to come up with next.

Always easy decision when to press the buy button...but a difficult decision when to press the sell button...you sell at small profit and it keeps going up...you don't sell thinking it will keep going up only to see it turn starts going down and paper profits evaporate...sods law...

Paying dividends

With more promising numbers than last year, Barclays’ basic earnings per share (EPS) should rise in 2023. As a matter of fact, analysts are currently pricing in a rise from 30.1p in 2022, to 32.2p in 2023, and then 35.4p in 2024.

Provided these projections are met, it’s likely that the FTSE 100 stalwart will increase its dividend payments. As such, analysts are forecasting the company to pay a dividend of 8.6p per share in 2023, and then 9.7p per share in 2024. This would amount to a forward yield of 6.1% and 6.9%, respectively.

. Why should we have a government acting AGAINST the interest of the people

The government are turning into a dictatorship, what is it they don't understand. We need a referendum on the green issue, not have things imposed on us. We're buying gas from the USA which has been fracked. It's then transported by container ships powered by diesel.. You couldn't make it up, just a load of hypocrites living in the Westminster bubble. Berlin have had a referendum and voted down the government's bill for carbon neutral by 2030, why can't we??

Gas bills face £100 a year 'penalty' under government 'green drive' to encourage Brits to switch boilers - with homeowners who agree to have a wind turbine nearby in line for £350 reward

Why would a high earner live in Scotland ?

Now Humza Yousaf Plans to destroy the economy of Scotland

Yousaf: high earners will pay to rebuild Scotland

Humza Yousaf has signalled there will be no relaxation of the tax burden on higher earners as he spelled out his case for redistributing wealth.

In his inaugural First Minister’s Questions, Mr Yousaf told MSPs that he would ensure that those earning the most would pay the most to support public services.

He agreed to meet the Scottish Greens and the Scottish Trade Union Congress (STUC) to discuss plans for a “progressive” tax system.

Mr Yousaf faced opposition accusations that he and the SNP government had failed to grow the economy, improve the health service and tackle poverty which was worse than when Labour was in power.
