Let me see if I get the latest narrative right:Rapid rate hikes resulted in a banking crisis that forced the Fed to panic expand its balance sheet by $300B in just one week, but now the Fed has to raise rates further to avoid a panic for it would seem there is trouble brewing?

Well party gate will take some of the heat off but I have not been convinced by the government or Bailey so far

If banks and companies fail as a result of rate rises then that's just the medicine working. The central banks MUST continue to tackle inflation and ignore the noise.

Well my half term report has stirred someone into action

Not convinced about rate rises here or in the USA

There is heightened uncertainty in stock markets

Will be very easy to send the markets down much harder to give upward emphasis

Have been carrying cash and adding as and when able as preferred option

Mittens will be coming off soon

Fed 0.25 rise is almost certain.

I'm pencilling in 0.25% rate rise for FED today and BOE tomorrow.

Keep in mind some banks have based their NIM guidance on 4.00% rates so bank NIMs have been underestimated.
