Does that mean there is an unknown out there...any more hedge funds in trouble?...

The whole issue on pay and bonuses at barcs is a disgraceFar to many being paid and do very little work ,Inside info tells me that ,Jobs for the boys and girls barcs could cut middle and top management by 35% and would not be missed. Fact Bonuses should be cut by 75%

Barclays is different from other UK rivals such at NatWest and Lloyds, in that it retains a strong investment banking franchise.

The Corporate and Investment Bank, the CIB, saw income slip 1% to £3.6 billion.

Richard Hunter at interactive investor said: “This may have been a record quarterly profit, but under the bonnet the situation is not as straightforward.

In terms of actual trading, income fell and costs rose, with the inevitable effect of a worsening cost/income ratio, up to 61% from 52% the previous year.”

Manics : 😂 ... just seems bizarre to have such a whooping off such strong results and future earnings. The balance sheet also sits with huge cash reserves 'just in case'. I have topped up my holding and lets see what she has in store for us ... today is certainly a big a#se tree shake !

Blimey Barclays taking a battering.. I'm wondering if this is down to a feud between stately & Bramson the hedge fund guy... stately know bramson bgt 6% of barc for £2.20 and knows he can't survive forever with a position underwater... stately seams to do his best to talk down the bank at every opportunity....
