It depends what the inheritance tax threshold is to be. If it hits the red wall voters, the Tories are toast.

I don't know what to make of the tories. Are they a quasi green or Labour Party, it's getting hard to tell and if they put inheritance tax up, then they're finished. Conservatism doesn't mean what it once stood for.

I remember buying Barc at 50p a good few years back and sold for around the pound mark and kicking myself as it climbed even more!!
Hindsight or what?

PRBSHARES: you've got to say that BARC is holding up relatively well. It's not hard to find large-caps reporting catastrophic falls in revenue, and raising cash. Look at TUI this morning. Look at RR. which is actually considering closing down for a few weeks!Valuing a bank is black magic and nobody really knows how to do it fully. Jes grabs the headlines with the top line stuff and I say that's the IB and divi. 163p is my target if it blitzed that Feb-Mar then why not back to pre Covid levels? 180p doesn't sound horrible to me (subject to Feb 18th).

Musk has sent Bitcoin crazy... he is one very unpredictable individual. Where could bitcoin go now .... $60 + ?? The world sometimes seems a little unhinged .

On a more sensible note, what's everyone's thoughts on Barc and the run up to results ? I can only imagine that the consumer side has been completely battered to pieces by covid but the IB will have been offsetting some of this. Interesting to see how this plays out and could we have the ducks all lined up (ie: vaccine news, economy bounce back, spring/summer positivity, possible divi mention etc) to push her to new highs ??
