barcs opened up ex div Thursday 8 am if you sell after 8 am on Thursday you get the div settlement day on shares is 3 working days so it is settled 3 working days after you sell ,


if you sold on Wednesday you do not get the div if you bought on Thursday you do not get the div

Barclays PLC (LON:BARC) declared a dividend on Thursday, February 21st. Investors of record on Thursday, February 28th will be given a dividend of GBX 4 ($0.05) per share by the financial services provider on Friday, April 5th. This represents a dividend yield of 2.49%. OK but I'm confused. How can you be on the share register tomorrow if you sell today?

I saw this morning the share were down 4p and I thought ex-dividend. But on checking I think this go ex of dividend tomorrow. Can anyone confirm?

Sherborne, in a Feb. 8 filing, said it bought shares with the loan and purchased put and call options from the lender to cap its exposure. The securities filing and the Bank of America loan were first reported by the Financial Times. , wants Barclays to reduce the size of its investment bank to focus on consumer banking and has asked Barclays’ shareholders to appoint Mr. Bramson to the bank’s board at a meeting in May. Last week, Barclays’ board recommended a vote against Mr. Bramson’s appointment, saying it remains confident in the lender’s current strategy combining investment banking, credit cards and U.K. retail banking.
