14/4/2009 09:09 | boys, we have almost un-interrupted economic growth, peace, stability, low-inflation in most parts of the globe for more than half a century now. but these are set to change. the outlook of the world looks more and more uncertain. there are likely to be war, hope they are not nuclear ones, definitely scarcer resources which will push up prices of everything. there will be shortages of most of the things that we now take for granted. and the scramble for scarce resources is bound to lead to war. the world is poised for crises of various kinds, terrorism, food shortages, currency crisis, etc. be prepared for them. | madoff with cash

14/4/2009 09:06 | Massive overshoot and a detachment from reality now for BARC......I can see a retrace to 150. As well as shorting my own certs I taken out a large CFD short as well today..... . | crystalblue
14/4/2009 09:03 | Sold half of mine at 205 - hopefully back in soon a bit lower down | adp
14/4/2009 09:01 | Crystal - shut up | ozzmosiz
14/4/2009 08:55 | Well done all you longs, I was out at £1.72 and thankful for a £25k profit since january, not bitter at missing these stellar rises, very happy for you all WELL DONE!! stuck my barc profits in LAM which is doing ok too Mani, the £ will break $1.50 and continue upto $1.60 over the coming months imho | smudge104
14/4/2009 08:51 | Im in for an average of 1.32 (range 57 to 173) so am well chuffed. However the Dow will tank sometime soon but Barc will hold up relatively well. If the Dow drops 15/20% as I expect Barc will come back 10/15% from whatever high point its at when it happens. I will hold the shares and short via CFD'S as and when appropriate. | hillbrown
14/4/2009 08:50 | Massive shorts on @ 205. Gonna be a cracking day....£2 for toxic BARC...numpties..LOL | crystalblue
14/4/2009 08:50 | mm's holding this back now...... | change12
14/4/2009 08:48 | montyhedge - 14 Apr'09 - 08:47 - 21287 of 21311 Taken profit in Barc in at 164p. Leave something for the next man. Did no.1 trader mean 184p?? | theband
14/4/2009 08:46 | Brilliant, Absolutely brilliant !! The double bottom formation has now formally completed with the rise to 191. I am glad to see the price go beyond that. If the price stays above 191 and breaks out above 206.5 (200 daily MA) , we could see some serious moves on the upside over the next few weeks (on the basis that the DOW does not start to tank). Look for resistance at 2.13. Well done to all those that picked up the stock at 1.50 (or thereabouts) last week. Wow. These are exciting times !! Now I just need the pound to breakout above $1.50 and I am set for the next 18 months. Come on Britain, lets put the great back in GREAT BRITAIN. Good Luck. | mani2008
14/4/2009 08:41 | capricious - 14 Apr'09 - 09:27 - 21308 of 21308 'Just jumped out' Don't do it again - you frightened the life out of me! | isis
14/4/2009 08:40 | Quiet on here considering the rise maybe they were all shorters. | barkerman
14/4/2009 08:27 | Just jumped out | capricious
14/4/2009 08:26 | I have to say thanks to those shorters. Without them, how could I have a chance to buy BARC at around 50p? lol | shorter killer
14/4/2009 08:14 | bothdavis - 14 Apr'09 - 09:02 - 21300 of 21305 Still find it difficult to understand why people would either bother to buy shares then be so negative about them - surely they want the share price to go up? or be so negative about shares if they don't own them - just jealous or unhappy with the institution concerned? Either way quite sad really, don't you think? -------------------- Not sad at all.........I am not negative (have long term shares) but do CFDs also. Not negative at all but profit taking is only human nature so if I can gain from this will do it............quite positive for me!! I take full advantage of the highs and lows. | shazzieb
14/4/2009 08:08 | adg - thanks for the vote of confidence | boggy |
