01/11/2017 05:22 | From AcrossthePond, ex pat, United States, 3 hours ago "I think the Bank is nuts. Look at Barclays today, St. Neots shut most of its cash tills and now nearly all automatic. You stand in a line for ages whilst folk are sorting their business out at the till because a machine can't answer questions. Where have the jobs gone for those people now that the bank is mainly automated. If it clears out the fools at the top of these banks, so be it, but bring back people on the tills".. | johnwise

31/10/2017 06:59 | Best way is to complain to FCA and BARC by letter only with same letter to complain. No, the best way is to move your account. People who put up with being treated like garbage deserve to be treated like garbage. | grahamite2
31/10/2017 06:55 | FJgonner That is really shocking from Barc . Best way is to complain to FCA and BARC by letter only with same letter to complain. Agree with Ayl on new change plus now they charge for funds more.so with more money bad service. surprise that FCA has not said anything on this or fined Barc yet. | jaws6

30/10/2017 23:04 | I am affected as well, and they can't even achieve a 10-day SLA. some bond dividend payments are taking 15 or more working days to get paid. think I will raise it with some of the newspaper agony aunts. Barclays of course are blaming it all on FNZ who host the platform (its no longer a Barclays platform). | eurofox
30/10/2017 22:30 | @Ayl30 I had a direct telephone discussion with a Barclays customer relations adviser re Smart Investor over the massively delayed dividend issue that was affecting so many of us recently. Guess what the solution offered to me was during that call for achieving their dividend payment SLAs going forward? No - go on - guess. The solution was that from now on, rather than guaranteeing to pay on dividend day (and that's as if they ever did in my experience - which they didn't, but came closer than these days) in the same way as other normal stockbroker companies easily manage to do, they will now AIM TO achieve their SLAs by setting a breath-taking benchmark payment of ... wait for it .... dividend receipt date plus 10 - THAT'S TEN - TEN! - BUSINESS DAYS - later. I couldn't believe what the intellectual pygmy on the phone was spouting to me, so I very politely re-checked, but yes, it may be a whole half calendar month that investors do not get their monies BUT Barclays presumably have these funds in their accounts. Handy that, eh? And - even more joyous than that - they've ramped up our fees for this completely appalling service. Pathetic - this needs to be fixed within the next few months or Smart Investor will start to become a ghost service. And I'm quite sure that this fiasco will also drag many Premier customers like myself away as accounts are closed. I can't believe that no mention of this was made in the recent results or follow-ups. Contempt for customers, eh? That never ends well ..... | fjgooner
