Banks .............. Deutsche Bank

This bank could take down the EU

Plus it has the potential by itself of starting another major economic downturn

And lets face it the markets should not be where they are given current world trading outlook/unemployment/Debts and zero interest rates/QE

BUT it now looks like the USA is going to chop off circa $10 Billion from the fine they have recently imposed on Deutsche Bank.

why ?

Has anyone noticed that within hours of this rumour , Germany also joined the USA in condemning Russia over Syria ?

I am guessing that the EU will lend the money to Greece, Italy and Spain, giving much criticism of their ways and then that money will be paid over to DB immediately

The end is nigh for Merkel and her dysfunctional government. Deutsche bank has a catastrophic exposure of £500 Billion in bad debts

Merkel and the ECB will have to conjure up some short term rescue plan otherwise the EU will crash. I guess the ECB will just print another €1trillion and loan it to Deutchebank on the understanding that they'll repay when they can and at 0% interest.

Will Mrs May Surrender to the Germans ?

jerry, " If the London Stock Exchange goes into any form of partnership with the German Stock Exchange kiss goodbye to London being a leading economic centre. With German banks teetering on collapse and the centuries old desire of France and Germany to cripple the UK's stock market you might as well stick a 9mm automatic in your hand and play Russian Roulette. Very short term gain of 21bn will be a unstoppable loss of 10x that within a couple of years"

May urged to probe stock exchange takeover bid over fears £21bn deal could damage competition
