16/6/2016 12:34 | Christ called Capitalism Aren't you a Capitalist? Yes I am indeed and loving it. Worth £800,000 now and 4th property will make me worth £1 million. | informant100
16/6/2016 12:28 | capeview, Car Industry=French and German cars are better cars than Ford, Vauxhall i.e.Golf,Audi,BMW, Peugoit, Renault more reliable than our fords and Vauxhalls. The US wants to stay in the EU because most of the EU countries are in the NATO and the US controls and runs NATO whether we are in or out. FIFA=It was made up of people all over the world, not just Europeans! Eurovision Song = UCRAINE why? Unity of Europe against Russia???? The experts know better because they are the ones that design our economy and pace our moves to prosperity. Whether you agree or disagree the reality is if we come out we'll be poorer in the pocket. | christh
16/6/2016 12:14 | Super, I think everyone is just waiting on the referendum now. | capeview
16/6/2016 12:12 | Christh, I understand all you say, but we would have most of that in or out, and it's not like the EU will stop trading with us. How many French and German cars do you see on the uk roads? Far more than most other manufacturers. I think it's only ford and Vauxhall that may be larger, ones American and the other is owned by the Americans. Are they going to stop selling cars to us? After all, how did VW do with there omissions scandal with all these rules and laws? That could well be very damaging for the EU if the USA gets there claws into that like they did with BP and the damage that happened there. So why does the US want us to stay in the EU if they punish us so much. As for security, crime fighting, science, they will still be joint. Not like the security forces will stop helping each other or scientists. For me, it's about the beurocracy and corruption in the EU. Just look how the Eurovision Song Contest is run. You rub my back I'll rub yours. Sorry, how is that fair? The same will be happening in the government. Then there is the corrupt FIFA. Far too much corruption. I believe we have more chance to change outside the EU where those in power can't just tell us to stuff it. The tides of the world are changing and the status quo don't like change, they want to stay in there castles and the people are uprising but without pitchforks and fire. Too many people in a place of power are fearing there jobs and the power they could lose, not how the economy is. If all these so called experts out there think it's the right thing for the economy, how did none of them see the last crash happen, let alone previous crashes. The answer is, no one knows until it happens and quite possibly there is business behind it in the first place. | capeview
16/6/2016 12:09 | The great British people will decide at the referendum. Does anyone have any comments about the barc share price in the short term? | supermarky

16/6/2016 12:01 | informant100 16 Jun'16 - 11:48 - 117605 of 117605 When there a will there's a way. that's not the right saying the right saying is:Where there's a will, there's a way. It's called Capitalism Aren't you a Capitalist? Drugs that come from Colombia? West Indies? Africa? Far East? Is that EU's fault? or is it our services in airports or ports? | christh
16/6/2016 11:48 | informant - you have a head start when you are an island. Well how come the drugs still come in from Gibratler and Afghanistan and the Netherlands. Anyone can smuggle immigrants the same way. When there a will there's a way. It's called Capitalism | informant100
16/6/2016 11:44 | sports immigration lawyer has warned some European players may no longer be able to play in the Premier League if Britain votes to leave the European Union next week. Currently players from countries within the EU can work in Britain without a work permit but that could change if 'Leave' prevails in the Referendum on June 23, although it is likely to be several years before the effects are felt. Last season 432 European players were registered to play in the Premier League. Those players are unlikely to have to leave but should the vote go against 'Remain' new players would not have an automatic right to live and work in the UK. | informant100
16/6/2016 11:35 | capeview, Immigration is a problem but something that can be resolved with laws, conditions, regulatio Look at the good things that come out of the EU. Environmental laws, free trade, human rights, one collective bargaing trading body (such as energy),free to live anywhere in the EU,A strong nation in the EU, a leading country in the EU,Workers rights, Democracy, freedom of speech, co-operation in fighting crime,co-operation in scientific experiments, study anywhere in EU countries(cheaper tuition fees) etc. How about travelling? Easyjet, Rynair,Monarch and many other air flight companies are thiving and able to compete with European companies. The good things outweigh a few bad things. Remember better be in and fight to improve the bad things than rather be out. Just to think the threat of living EU has crushed the stock market. Our stock market will be a miniscule market, a small trading place rather than a huge market of 28 trading markets with 500 million people. Australian,US,Japane If we leave then is Goodbye from them and off to Germany or France. If you are coming out for pension or participate in a pension scheme will hurt you because the pension provider is invested in the stock market to pay you your pension. If the stock market is falling, companies are not making enough profits to pay dividends then you will get less and not be able to live properly. Meanwhile inflation will be out of control as everything will be dearer as trade agreements will have to be re-negotiated and new tarrifs applied with higher import taxes. That's why me and my family are voying to REMAIN. | christh
16/6/2016 11:23 | Every currency outside EU has to use an exchange rate to match the euro to 100,000. | clond
16/6/2016 11:21 | Now 75000 due to exchange rate set every 5 years re-done July 2015 | clond
16/6/2016 10:59 | clond - what are you saying - isn't £80,000 an increase over the current £75,000 because of the fall in sterling? | alphorn
16/6/2016 10:55 | Christh, why does none EU immigration have to be sanctioned by the EU when a lot of those could be moving here from countries outside the EU as part of there jobs, or part of the commonwealth. Why should we get permission from the EU for that when they quite happily have our borders open to let everyone from the EU in. Immigration as it stands is unsustainable no matter where it's from if they are not paying there way and are coming for the freebies which is far too easy for a lot of people to get. Taking some of that control back from Europe so they can't impose on us to let more people have free access is just makes sense After all, if all of the EU countries really wanted to get along, then we would all have similar taxes, housing benefits, civil services, police force, housing of similar nature, but we don't. Every single country runs everything differently and quite a lot are running with far less but taking far more. | capeview
16/6/2016 10:54 | Just received a letter today from building society telling me my financial protection has been reduced in line with EU regs to align every country at 100 k euros | clond

16/6/2016 10:33 | Does EU Countries have NHS or housing/benefits similar to UK?... | diku
16/6/2016 10:33 | Some years ago the idea of ID cards for everyone was thrown out. There are little ID checks in the UK - nobody actually knows who is there. This is an appalling state of affairs. | alphorn
16/6/2016 10:32 | Alporn No country can control immigration. It's like trying to control drugs. | informant100
16/6/2016 10:30 | supermarky - I do not disagree with your comments on immigration and, more importantly, integration which has been extremely poor. The sad point today is that the 'bumbling fools' have not been able to contain the non-EU element and therefore the EU element may have to pay for this incompetence. I do not see how this incompetence will magically disappear. | alphorn
16/6/2016 10:24 | Nearly ready to go long at 150!! | supermarky
16/6/2016 10:19 | Alporn. Please read Cape views recent post. This is also my opinion. Also too much immigration upsets the fabric and social cohesion of the country. I am not against immigration, just uncontrolled immigration. Vote remain reckon us bumbling fools in the UK are not able to run our own affairs. | supermarky
16/6/2016 10:18 | capeview I did not make out the figures but is from the statistics published. Read here ! A far as illegal immigration goes is our country's borders that need to be protected and we have police, army, navy to patrol them. Also lorries coming from the continent need to be more stringent and in cooperation with our partners france, Belgium etc. Most of the immigrants are non EU Europeans and from other part of the world i.e Africa, Asia and that's a fact. Those were not sanctioned by the EU, but our succesive governments allowed them or let them stay. We need the EU to co-operate in controlling who comes in Europe and we are Europeans. | christh
16/6/2016 10:06 | Christ, not shooting the messenger but post logic when you post. You can't use figures to make out there is more immigration outside the EU as being bad against immigration from inside the EU being good, when per head there is more coming in from the Eu that outside of the EU which is very bad. Based on the percentage of people in the world and the amount of migrants, we should be expecting closer to 20000 from the EU against the 200000 from the rest of the world. That is controlled immigration. Right now, it's out of control and only going to get worse. We have a lot of friends at my child's school who are polish, Romanian, Dutch, German etc and all lovely people and all hard working. The issue I have is the ones that are coming in illegally and then being set up with gangs for abusing the benefits system. They have left there country of origin because the uk has become an easy target. | capeview
