Love her to stay around the 30cent level to build a strong base before taking out that recent high.

You need to look also at the Irish market, 197M shares traded today. Some just sold 80M in 2 blocks there and the share price still rises, it can only be shorts covering!! Yes they are also buying when covering!!We are also forgetting the Warren Buffet moto, you run in when everyone else is running out!!

Well most of the shorts are gone now at 30centsLooks like 100M shares sold in a few different transactions today but theses are probably just shorts closing off their short position and turning over to the buy side

No wonder Wilbur dumped Bank of Ireland at 2x book value when he can find so many European banks well below 1x book value!

I think we will all be waiting a very very long time for another Irish credit bubble and the €2bn in profits to return! So nobody hold their breath for that 50c anytime soon!

And just because AIB trades at 4x book value does not mean that Bank of ireland at 2x book value is good value! Both are overvalued relative to UK and European banking peers who trade at closer to 1x book value.

Fyi Banco Santander trades at 1.2x book value and has dividend yield of 6%!

At Ireland's peak of credit madness BKIR was making operating profits of over €2 billion and had a peak Market Cap of €16bn.

Now it is still nowhere near making half that in profits yet it's market Cap is already €9bn? Never mind the fact that it's one the most expensive bank in Europe trading at 2x book value albeit cheaper then AIBs ludicrous valuation

And let's even say it did manage to get back to that credit bubble profit of €2bn. We can fantasise! And if it did somehow get back to its peak €16bn market cap then sadly that would still only equate to 50c per share after the billions of shares that were issued over the last few years! So you could be waiting forever to see €1 here! But as we see with AIB a bit more then Bank of Ireland bubbles still exist in the Irish banks!
