19/7/2012 10:21 | Its a no brainer as far as my bird Sheila is concerned. The titty chart suggests a touching of £5.40 within a loola distance. 19/7/2012 08:57 | TD Direct Investing offer both scrip and cash....makes sense to me to take the scrip | cgee1
18/7/2012 18:15 | iDealing have opted-in to the scrip in the past, but of late have been taking cash. I've emailed them to state that I want to take scrip, and we'll see what they say. | stevefoster
18/7/2012 15:44 | IWeb only offer the scrip: 'Having considered the tax implications of receiving the cash payment and the short timescales imposed by the Company, we will be applying the default election (to receive payment of the dividend in the form of additional Ordinary shares) to all Banco Santander SA shares held within our Nominee...' Seems sensible and suits me. | dendria
18/7/2012 15:26 | With Spanish Witholding Tax at 21%, and particularly for any holder verging on the 40% rate the scrip dividend is very much the preferred option. This time, the defaault option for most holders is the scrip dividend. The Share Centre however; do not offer any option to nominee holders other than the cash dividend with its heavy taxation burden. i.e. Share Centre are not looking after their clients interests. My NatWest Brokerline account does offer both alternatives. How do other nominee brokers fair on this? | coachsailor
