Santander Business Banking worst bank in world

Santander Business Banking is actually the worst customer service I have ever received. I have now spent 6 hours trying to resolve an issue. They refuse to accept a complaint (even in writing as per their website) They blocked our account and then were impossible to contact (and still are) We already closed our main account because they were so useless. Once I finally get our blocked account open we'll close it! And they call it Business Banking.

Santander can not be trusted

I would rate Santander as zero if permitted. I accepted "their switch offer".. only to be told after the 90 days that the switch offer incentive was not valid.. Their own switch offer !!! ... It's not a bank you can trust given my experience.. switch to a more honest bank. Don't trust Santander.

A useless and disgusting bank!!!

A disgusting and useless company that would be better off in administration. No care or support for the customer, made-up rules that counteract policies set by the company and no loyalty to customers of 15+ years. If I could rate them any lower, I absolutely would. The company should be abolished.

They will close your account without reason and also keep all the money in it, claiming you’re not entitled to it although its your own money. Disgusting bank who will blatantly rob you.

Santander a thieving bank

I am 63 yrs old, I have injured my arm and can't work, I had to claim some benefit to help me until I can get back to work, Universal credit sent my first payment into my santander acc, which is for food and rent, santander have seized that money and they won't give it back, which is illegal and immoral, trying to get them to sort this out seems impossible, all I get is chat bots and useless staff. Absolutely a disgusting bank.

I've had 2 accounts with this miserable excuse for a bank for years. You are on your own if any problems arise. Their pathetic robot service just tries your patience to the point you are turning the air blue. I am locked out from using my debit cards because the OPT text fails to arrive ... I am stuck. When they claim to put you through to a real live person the phone call will just end before you speak to somebody. I'm stuck and in a fix. I will be closing my accounts and moving all my money over to the Royal Bank Of Scotland who have been much more reliable through the years. My advice is to close your account before you hit a brick wall like me and have to sort out the mess the hard way. PATHETIC BANK!!

Blocked account 'unblocked' still blocked!!!

Yesterday I had to call from abroad 6 or 7 times to try and unblock my account. The service is absolutely appalling and they make it as expensive as possible by forcing you to sit through their soulless bot drone out its patronizing bile over and over again. Most real support staff are helpful in so far as they're able, but others are pure evil and will cut you off or put you on hold forever. I had to simply quit the call and make another call several times - it's disgusting!! Anyway, after finally talking to their fraud department I was assured that my card was unblocked, then when I tried to pay for something it failed. Calling back I eventually found that now my account and card were both blocked!!

Seriously, now I warn everybody to not EVER consider opening an account with this 'bank'. It's a clown show, and the contempt they have for their customers is beyond nauseating - it will send your blood pressure rocketing. It's an evil organization - STAY AWAY!!

After blocking my account for no reason at all (no unusual activity at all - all small grocery purchases by my wife etc.) I've had to call the bank 7 times from abroad. Been charged extortionate rates for their pathetic robot service, been cut off, been put on hold for upto 35 minutes+ several times and then having to finish the calls and call back. Finally I was told that they would call 'me' back first thing on Monday via my mobile number. I confirmed with the lady that the number was correct and told her that I fully expect them to 'not' call me, and that this bank is the most dreadful pathetic bank in existence. (It's a disgusting shame that their 'service' makes you rant at innocent employees this way).

Monday came and went and nobody called - par for the course. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SANTANDER!! Heed these warnings, it will save you an awful lot of distress and anger.

Get your money out of Santander QUICK!!

There is something definitely sinister going on with Santander.

They are blocking ordinary people's accounts left, right and centre for no good reason.

My account remains blocked despite multiple highly expensive & fruitless calls from abroad.

I was finally told via their 'support' online that I have to fill in a form and upload ID which I did. Days later.. account is still blocked!! I was then told via their online 'helper' that I must call that expensive number again, and so the circus must continue. Santander is an absolute DISGUSTING BANK!! As soon as my account is unblocked (if ever) I am withdrawing all funds to another bank. CLOSE YOUR SANTANDER ACCOUNTS BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!

This is just a heads up for all those other people who are being treated like sewage by Santander.

Close your accounts IMMEDIATELY!

Don't wait, don't procrastinate - just close your accounts and relieve yourself of all the unwarranted suspicion and contempt SANTANDER spit at you.

I banked with them right from way back in the Giro bank days and never asked to be brought along for the ride as the bank was sold to one carpet-bagger outfit after another, but SANTANDER really put the final nail in the coffin with obnoxious & criminal ease by constantly blocking my accounts and demanding more and more proof of identity - they treated me like a criminal for no reason and made banking with them as stressful as possible. I moved to Lloyds and so far it's been like night and day where simple ordinary service is concerned!! CLOSE YOUR SANTANDER ACCOUNTS!! ... before you lose your money!

What went right? Well nothing.

I am a most dissatisfied customer, soon to be ex. As the holder of an easy access account I wished to make a withdrawal, Easy? not at all, met with a so called agreed safety limit, no such agreement was made.

Attempted to raise the limit and was promised a text. No such text arrived. Spent two hours with no luck, in the end got so fed up decided to close the account. Then revealed that they would retain my money.... Do not put your trust in this bank!

SANTANDER CUSTOMER'S EXPERIENCE:

Santander have left me no access to money for food and essentials.

They have blocked my account. They say they don't know how long it will take to resolve so no food essentials paying bills transport to gp until whenever. I have health and disability issues and no surviving family to help, or anyone else they are fully aware of this all I get is sorry for inconvenience.

Do they think I will be capable of taking a phonecall after 7 days with no food etc?

I needed to see GP today, now I can't.

I'm not ' frustrated' I'm very upset distressed disappointed and HUNGRY already. This is utterly shameful.
