Changes due to brexit should be minimal as the uk is a minor region for santander.
Uk and Europe contribute less than 40% to net income.
The largest regional contributor is south america, it and the USA make the best operating margins and the majority of earnings for santander.

Hoping Santander will be one of the best performers in the banking sector post-Brexit as is diversified across Britain and the EU and that should ensure changes due to Brexit have the minimum impact.

My IG account shows a line for "Rights issue"
separate from the shares. Been like that from
the start.

And yes, I am (only) here because I had
Abbey National shares, and an account.

Update- It has been saying I needed to phone
in to "deal" in the options, but just now that
changed to "Market closed".

Hidden in the last paragraph of the PRA's online announcement. Sneaky it wasn't in the RNS for banks. So Divi's for 2021 are Frozen again until they say so! 2020 can be paid albeit it will be reduced due to Covid. I reckon EU will do the same...

Returning to standard capital-setting and distributions processes through 2021:

In the meantime, for 2021 dividends the PRA is content for appropriately prudent dividends to be accrued but not paid out and aims to provide a further update ahead of the 2021 half-year results of large UK banks.

If a bag of apples weighs 1kg and is worth £2.00 are you better off choosing the bag with 5 apples inside or the bag with 6 apples inside?

The UK government is “prepared̶1; to remove the controversial Northern Ireland clauses in Boris Johnson’s Internal Market Bill, that could breach international law, if a UK-EU post-Brexit trade deal is reached.

A government statement released this afternoon said the UK was willing to take out all clauses in the Internal Market Bill and following Finance Bill that would breach the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement – a key demand from EU negotiators.

Glavey ----- explanation on "getting nothing"?
crazi

How can you say it's getting nothing - you really need to explain that one in some detail???

You get 1 free share for every 23 you hold. They are being handed out on the 10th/11th. They went Ex at 215 dropped to 205 to cover the additional issue and then started climbing again - so built in the price long ago now and BNC still hold the Capital making Teir 1 ratios even stronger. All good :-)

And those free shares are now worth over 250 so a really great approach by BNC for their Investors during the Divi ban...

All the other banks should have done the same thing so well done BNC...
