If they announce lessening the mortgage requirements today. Banks can then write more Mortgages and higher amounts. Should bolster all banks. Fingers crossed...

Why this is even below 250 is very surprising. Placed in ratio against the falls from highs of the main banks recently the share price should be more in the region of 252 to 255.

That's even excluding the 1 Billion Euros share buy back scheme increasing the share value. Good dividends and good performance.

The issue is daily trade volume. As it's low the order book is easily manipulated. Hedge Fund can do what it wants and Equiniti are useless or don't care about any manipulation.

My average holding is 230 so I'm tucking these away for now with my other bank holdings I have bought yesterday and just wait for the End Year / 1st Quarter rally...

Omicron is seemingly "very mild" and is wiping out Delta which was rather vicious...

Storm in a teacup... It spreads quickly so loads of people will catch it and the Government will use those large numbers to try and scare people in to getting the Boosters asap but it won't do much to people as seemingly in SA it's like catching a cold (excluding those with other conditions etc etc)

So if Omicron wipes out Delta - once the Hedge Funds have cashed in on the falling prices and are ready to go Long again - woooosh - all the news turns positive overnight (as the reporters get their back handers and tickets to the game) and all the banks rally.

The majority of BNC's business is in europe and south america, UK interest rate is a minor issue to BNC.
The latest covid variant and whether it will lead to further provisioning is the issue here.

It's strange because lately the threat of interest rate hikes has banks falling in price rather than the normal climb. Market probably more worried about people defaulting on loans and mortgages due to Covid and years of low interest rates with people neck deep in loans. So probably better the BOE shift the increase to January which I'm convinced they will do because it's politically good and Andrew Bailey is a useless YES man and will do what he's told...


Would be good to see this get back to at least 233 today. If the order book manipulation stopped this will jump up quickly...

10 Yr in USA dropped to 1.45% from 1.50%. Not good for banks. I thought it will be going up .
