competing with the top miners is really tricky, they are really fast ... losing 10 -> 15% profits to these guys ... looking at some code to redress the balance ;-)

ETN is a fraction of cap of XMR, but over 30% network hashing! The biggest meanest pool for ETN is nanopool (over 1/3 total ETN hashing power!)... the power of the network is intense ... many shares expire worthless ... and the slower pools you get the shares, but many blocks expire worthless (with sizeable odds to the top miner at nanopool) and the variance is high.

(add to that the difficulties of soft power play ... it's as technical as any other form of HFT!)

Here is(are) the top guy(s?) ... equiv to about 7000 Vega64s each !!!

agree - as i mentioned elsewhere - crypto should ensure trust-less but that depends on the construction.

the US can block countries using the USD (through transaction blocking and sanctions) but not anon crypto. so how can that be illegal? or even stoppable?

Worth a read ... suggests non POW coins are not worth the bits they are printed on? ... just another fiat substitute. Unless of course, it is the most efficient way to invest in oil .... ??? (which I doubt ... the pricing of an equivalent eternal oil future is infinity ... buy the coin, sell the delivery contract ... etc !)

ETN still in maintenance mode ... the network is held together with string and chewing gum ;-) ... a small price to pay for one of the most profitable coins to mine.

im starting to use UNO as a store of value ... dt breakout, rather surprising, given the underlying conditions.
