25/2/2018 20:07 | we live in interesting times ;-) re: ETN tx There is currently a 211 block backlog at that fee level. Is this okay? (Y/Yes/N/No)n wait a few minutes, same tx line and ... There is currently a 14 block backlog at that fee level. Is this okay? (Y/Yes/N/No)y ... bizarre competing with the top miners is really tricky, they are really fast ... losing 10 -> 15% profits to these guys ... looking at some code to redress the balance ;-) ETN is a fraction of cap of XMR, but over 30% network hashing! The biggest meanest pool for ETN is nanopool (over 1/3 total ETN hashing power!)... the power of the network is intense ... many shares expire worthless ... and the slower pools you get the shares, but many blocks expire worthless (with sizeable odds to the top miner at nanopool) and the variance is high. (add to that the difficulties of soft power play ... it's as technical as any other form of HFT!) Here is(are) the top guy(s?) ... equiv to about 7000 Vega64s each !!! 25/2/2018 19:04 | i could imagine that any exchange that allows the trade the petro will be "exchange non-Grata" death won't be enough. | mcbeanburger
25/2/2018 18:58 | btw - sold and re-bought. reckon they will correct the bias on the daily. 5 hours to know if they will | mcbeanburger
25/2/2018 18:32 | where can the petro be traded? or is it too early for that. i noted that Venezuela are now coming out with a gold back crypto. even before they "put to bed" the oil backed one. | mcbeanburger
25/2/2018 18:26 | you read my mind ... long petro / short USO is a no brainer ... | random
25/2/2018 18:13 | agree - as i mentioned elsewhere - crypto should ensure trust-less but that depends on the construction. the US can block countries using the USD (through transaction blocking and sanctions) but not anon crypto. so how can that be illegal? or even stoppable? | mcbeanburger
25/2/2018 18:10 | buy the rumour, sell the fact? ... a bullish wall of worry imho ... but lets see ;-) | random
25/2/2018 18:00 | indeed. thanks. i did wonder about the petro. more questions then answers. | mcbeanburger
25/2/2018 11:24 | Worth a read ... suggests non POW coins are not worth the bits they are printed on? ... just another fiat substitute. Unless of course, it is the most efficient way to invest in oil .... ??? (which I doubt ... the pricing of an equivalent eternal oil future is infinity ... buy the coin, sell the delivery contract ... etc !) | random
23/2/2018 14:32 | ETN still in maintenance mode ... the network is held together with string and chewing gum ;-) ... a small price to pay for one of the most profitable coins to mine. It obviously takes a very long time to rebuild a database /s Create a Tether Account Registrations are offline while we rebuild the system. For additional information please see our latest announcements. To be notified when registrations are available again please send an email to signups+subscribe@te got the last of the 64s up and running ... it takes ages to configure the beasts. (windows 10 is a lot of the problem) | random
23/2/2018 14:32 | H&S is playing out so far! Just pushed above 200 ema with a high volume candle on the hourly. hold above 10500 and things look good | suffersnofools
23/2/2018 12:55 | the setup i see on the daily (if resolves bullish) will probably see new highs imo. might take a few days as they try to shake the longs and shorts. frustrate everyone. | mcbeanburger
23/2/2018 09:45 | Bear trap? A lot of people wrong side of this market. I've cleaned up on bch in the last hour or so - just cashed in a few chips :) | suffersnofools
23/2/2018 09:30 | the markets taking me long automatically ... etn in maintenance mode on cryptopia, so can't sell the mined coin! im starting to use UNO as a store of value ... dt breakout, rather surprising, given the underlying conditions. | random |
