Dynohum. So why hang about on this bulletin board charitably giving us the wisdom of your infinite knowledge of all things worldly when you have no holding here.wouldnt you be better served doing some voluntary work for some charitable organization who could do with people like you who are so caring of others.i think the YMCA would be a good choice and would benefit you greatly as well as giving you a purpose in a life were you never achieve anything due to a negative outlook in life which if not addressed will leave you a lonely old twisted individual.

Or because of climate charge and zero emmisions oil extraction will eventually be stopped completely, hence the need to ensure matters are progressed more timeously than being constantly delayed, so it should happen faster than initially intended. Just my humble counter-argument of course.........

When you look at any media these days it's all about climate change and environment issues . . . . Now don't get uppity but do you think the folks in the pristine Caribbean Bahamas are unaware of the momentum being driven worldwide to halt carbon emissions . .

BPC will claim the licence expired, the gov that no drill was was undertaken ,

So that's tickety boo , except for gamblers, muppets, and mug punters clinging on to dreams of redemption and the odd half a million quid of life changing obsession . . . .
It's not going to happen. . . in my very humble opinion of course, no advice intended

Thanks bartender. Interesting..I wonder if they're talking about oil. Statoil were the original partner for BPC and the preferred oil company as operator by the government for safety standards. The government even visited Norway to see how the government ran their sovereign wealth fund for oil. Have the government persuaded Equinor to walk back through the door, or did they come running? I guess they could just be there for a cup of tea and a chin wag about South Riding Terminal that Equinor run, but why so many of them from government and Equinor? Could be something, could be nothing.

I've held for so long it hurts! I have to say my patience has run out with BPC and I feel this is a dead duck in the very large Bahamas waters - Please prove me wrong anyone ??

Martyn - fully with you on that. Time frame is set. The drill will happen it’s just on what terms.

The drill ship is on order for Q1 IMO as part of the RFP, should ruffle a few feathers into action.

Climate change, environment, dodgy geology, no government appetite, no certainty to produce if commercial, PR issues due to location, risk reward not compelling enough. .

Otherwise deal would be done by now . . . . . That's my take, in my very humble opinion . . . . .

Yes linton, it's just a shame we are not an oil producer at this time, we are struggling to get a jv deal never mind to take it to the next stage to explore for it.

Oil prices rose on fears of a U.S. military attack on Iran that would disrupt flows from the Middle East, which provides more than 20% of the world’s oil output.

Brent crude was up 85 cents, or 1.3%, at $65.30 a barrel. The global benchmark jumped 4.3% on Thursday and was up more than 5% for the week, in its first weekly gain in five weeks.

RFP does reverse the psychology a bit. The pressure is on the majors to meet a deadline or even decide to not make a play. If you do make a play, what level do you go in at to ensure success.

Yeah. Feels like the market is in standby mode for news and everyone waiting and watching. Clinging to the last placing price of 1.6p, which I guess is a good a place as any, until news breaks. All the oilers must be wondering what to put in their RFP bids. What can they get away with on percentage terms, without being outbid. Tricky really. They will know offering BPC 10% will be too low. So how do you dice it. Maybe offer BPC 12.5%, or 15%, or 20%. Maybe offer only 10% of one licence with the other licences still 100% BPC's. Or maybe offer to drill more wells and free carry them for a small percentage to BPC. Or offer a claw back of another 10-20% on any discovery.

With tensions and unrest in the gulf increasing could swing majors to invest capital into more stable regions.the Bahamas and bpc are placed perfectly for this lets hope a deal struck soon if everything is as was stated surely this can't be far away.

Peter Shore, labour minister addressing the OxfordUnion prior to the 1975 vote on joining thr EU . . . .
A truly great speech by an intelligent politician without an ego, I urge you to watch , it's realy uplifting and gives heart to those who think this is only a recent phenomenon . . .

Rory did a really great documentary on Afghanistan , he's OK by me , except he's trying to be too reasonable , not good for a leader . . . He's got no real vision unlike say Thatcher, more Neville Chamberlain . .
Also do you want a leader who looks like an extra from Planet of the Apes. . .
