15/12/2018 07:44 | because i don't want to. | lithological heterogeneities
13/12/2018 19:48 | This used to be one of my fav shares. Hopefully come back in time but meanwhile why not take a look at NTOG. ;) | theaviator
13/12/2018 16:04 | Pure conjecture! | looneytune
13/12/2018 15:49 | Get the feeling we're getting toward something big happening, and Cuba don't want to miss out. Something has stirred the pot. Got to be oil majors going in. | whoppy
13/12/2018 15:03 | very true ! | linton78
13/12/2018 14:53 | LOL and shareholders!! :) | martyn9
13/12/2018 14:48 | Martyn - not to mention better beaches, bars and hotels for the rig workers / oil execs... :-) | linton78
13/12/2018 14:40 | Long suffering BPC investor here. Wondering if we'll ever see a decent return. | wbecki
13/12/2018 14:30 | I hope oil majors are thinking that too linton :) | martyn9
13/12/2018 13:49 | You would assume BPC's data is much better using the 3D technology to identify the structural traps etc. The size of the targets will also likely dwarf those in Cuban waters also you would have thought. | linton78
13/12/2018 11:30 | It does sound like the region is gearing up for lots of drilling once the oil majors have reviewed the data and the Cuban licence bidding is completed. Just makes you realise what a new offshore region the Bahamas and Cuba can jointly be. Between them there could be 20-30Bn barrels. Drilling can't be ignored if the data is saying oil. | whoppy
13/12/2018 11:24 | It will be interesting to match this cuban data and the recent discovery of light oil together with BPC's data set... someone must be doing that right now you would have thought. | linton78
13/12/2018 11:16 | Wow they have surveyed all around the island of Cuba. Must have cost a bit. All that data will be impressive. They only can do a slim section upto the Bahamas maritime boundary. The other side is the Grand Bahama Bank where the folds are. This is where oil from Cuba has migrated to and is hopefully trapped in the high of the folds. Oil travelling upwards until it reaches a capped seal. That's what the Bahamas geology has, a migration pathway and traps and seals. The structures are massive as we know. Over 1km deep and 200km long, being filled over millions of years soaking up the oil. Lets get drilling next year. | whoppy
13/12/2018 10:51 | CUBA I have just had a look at the Cupet website; hxxp://cuba-energy.c If you download the brochure, it gives you brief detail about the Oil & Gas conference this month and seismic work completed to date - Carried out by BGP Marine; the data is the result of 18 months extensive work over 27,000 km of 2D long-offset, high resolution, broadband seismic and gravity data. The survey specifically targets the Cuba Economic Zone of the Gulf of Mexico areas. The under explored offshore Cuba contains large areas of open acreage. The presence of an active hydrocarbon system is indicated by oil and gas shows in some of the wells. The survey has been designed to acquire data that will be fundamental in assisting the interpretation of the geology in the offshore Cuba, and the identification of prospective structural and stratigraphic trends that can be used for regional evaluation and future detailed seismic survey designs. The final data will be officially launched at this exclusive workshop hosted by BGP which will take place on 4th December 2018 ahead of the main conference. | linton78
12/12/2018 14:03 | Lol..yes, but we know they are negotiating a farmout and there is not going to be a running commentary. I'd be more concerned if oil was at $30 and oil companies had no cash and were not looking for new exploration, but thankfully the opposite is true and MacQuarie are the key in all this as to how to get a farmout away. It just takes time. The region is about to open up to offshore exploration, imo. Everyone will want a slice. | whoppy
12/12/2018 13:31 | This stock is so frustrating - I've never known any company not to give any glimmer of news for months this includes any on AIM. I'm such a patient individual but even my patience is wearing thin. (Rant Over) | oioisavaloy
12/12/2018 11:30 | If Cuba think they can auction off blocks then that must mean oil companies are interested in exploration drilling, so that would mean they would be wanting to drill. If so, then Bahamas are definitley in play. | whoppy

12/12/2018 09:09 | Whoppy - Its an interesting move especially for BPC. The lighter oil discovery could be really impotrant for BPC as generally the Cuba fields were known for heavy oil and maybe a factor that put off farm in partners. | linton78
12/12/2018 08:09 | I'm surprised that Cuba are opening up offshore blocks. | whoppy
12/12/2018 08:03 | Cuba seeks oil exploration partners - | linton78
11/12/2018 23:33 | What’s the general feeling?? | djjazzyjeff
11/12/2018 17:25 | Martyn - if they have funding / farm in secured by 6th June next year that’s probably good enough for the Bahamas Governmemt. | linton78
11/12/2018 17:18 | You never know! Cupet made a discovery in Cuba of good quality oil (22 api) in October apparently. Previously a lot of heavy oil discovered, which should only help regional geology modelling etc and therefore BPC. The source rocks are believed to be in Cuba and bpc are looking for an extension of these already producing oilfields. thanks to Uncas for posting the info on another site. | linton78
11/12/2018 16:43 | hmm.. wont be seeing 7p again then.. now i have my shares back deffo not. | hraj |
