Also, 50% from 40p takes the price to 60p. Demand continues to remain very strong.

Thanks techI would've thought the share price would go sideways from 50p. Okay mm's might scare some pi's to get out and make a loss but then new pi's get in at lower price and will take their profits when share price rises. I'm sure if the price was kept at 50p plus new investors surely would've paid the higher price as company is doing really well in making positive strives.Really disappointed. Oh well it is what it is.It will correct itself either way.

Yes steeplejack and I bet many thought they would be all over the Thacker Pass (Clays) in Nevada with Lithium Americas, most likely USA China relations but I do wonder if Sonora lithium is more appealing now it's not considered as a clay resource but rather soft rock, last paragraph page 3 first on page 4 but the entire document is worth a read.

There is a political factor here.The US has been getting concerned in recent years about the dominant position enjoyed by China in the lithium market.It is ironic that Ganfeng have sneaked in to potentially snaffle 50% of the Mexican Sonara project sited on the US doorstep.I wouldn't be worried about the Chinese authorities signing off the deal but I wouldn't recommend tweeting Trump.The volume here today doesn't support some major rethink so much as the MMs squeezing traders.

Profit-taking, profit-taking and more profit-taking. That's all it is. It's simply the normal price reaction to a rise of over 500% since March. Some investors don't see a value rise of such magnitude on their investments in 5 years or more.

For me this is key. As I have already stated I sold this morning.I do now find it difficult to get a re-entry share price if it does come down further to an opportunistic level (which I actually hope it doesn't for the sake of those still invested as I have made my choice to exit and am content).

It now not about the market cap which has always been understated but about the price GFL will need to pay per share to take their additional 50%. A bit of a conundrum. The ambiguity of the RNS makes it difficult to assess.
