25/5/2021 16:25 | Agree that a CFO "retiring" on results day is a bit strange to me."Avon Rubber p.l.c. announces that Nick Keveth, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, has informed the Board of his desire and intention to retire for personal reasons before the end of March 2022." | fuji99
25/5/2021 16:11 | Seems like they tried to be clever and presented a lot of "adjusted" and "restated" figures that appeared to show strong growth. However, bottom line profit was £3m for 6 months which hardly supports a £1bn market cap (170x P/E)? Market has seen through the smoke and mirrors it seems. CFO is probably relieved he is going. | pipeline1
25/5/2021 15:38 | "What makes it worse is how the results have been reported as if they are good." In what way aren't they good? | jeffian
25/5/2021 14:46 | Nasty market reaction. What makes it worse is how the results have been reported as if they are good. Would have been better to at least be up front rather than pulling the wool over our eyes. CFO is way too young to be retiring. I hope there's nothing sinister afoot. | pipeline1
25/5/2021 11:51 | Just bought in again. | mallorca 9
25/5/2021 10:54 | Yep. I think you make a good point. Particularly with markets punishing stocks with high valuations whenever the next correction comes along the risk in the current climate is just increased. I like the company but have decided to sell my holdings this morning and will look to buy back in at a more modest price if and when that becomes possible. | scooper72
25/5/2021 09:56 | There is nothing wrong with Avon. The problem is with its market valuation, even at the current market cap its valuation metrics are those of a high growth tech company. | salpara111
25/5/2021 09:41 | Nice to see net debt at less than half of last year. | r2oo
25/5/2021 09:38 | Well the market didn't like those results did it? | r2oo
25/5/2021 07:35 | CFO on his bike | volvo
25/5/2021 07:26 | It's quite difficult to work out the results because of the restatement and the acqusitions, but it looks at least on track to dliver market forecasts. Perhaps the dividend will disappoint as, in sterling terms, it is up 11% and the market seems to be expecting a full year increase of c26%. But, touch wood, they appear to be past the order intake issues of last year. They have been hit by the rotation from growth into value, but this is at least non-software growth (even if they will say their kit is v. high tech). | 18bt
25/5/2021 07:14 | Excellent interim results. Outlook very good. | jurgenklopp

28/4/2021 14:56 | Today: Avon Rubber : Investec cuts target price to 3060p from 3500p * Avon Rubber : Investec cuts to sell from hold Not sure I agree with this. The recent trading update highlights ‘strong continuing order intake’ and was very upbeat. | morti1
27/4/2021 21:49 | Why does it make no sense? Price will go where it wants regardless of anyone's expectations. If you stand back today's move is no a big deal | davr0s
27/4/2021 21:05 | Why the big price dropped today? ;(Doesn't make any sense. | bingaxu
10/4/2021 07:37 | Cashed out yesterday, happy with the rise from 3000-3450. Thought the TS seemed slightly laboured to, not sure Wendy is in full flow either. Will watch for weakness to buy in again. | volvo
09/4/2021 07:26 | Good trading update, justifying the recovery in its share price. 20-30% increases in EPS for 2021 and 2022 begin to bring the PE down to levels where the shares will not look so expensive. Should also be 20-30% annual increases in the divid for a few years. | 18bt
04/4/2021 22:46 | Well the divi increased by 30%! Not much? But, yes, it was a one-off event; a £139m gain on the sale of the milkrite/InterPuls business. Best look at the 'adjusted' figures in the accounts, not the headline figures. If you're getting your financial info from websites or similar sources, suggest you make a habit of always going to the published accounts as the only source which is complete and verifiable. | jeffian
04/4/2021 19:26 | I have not followed this one but can anyone tell me why the massive profit increase in last financial year ? presumably a one off item as divi not increased much ? | arja
04/4/2021 19:21 | well, 3500 or 3600 anyway - first things first ! | arja
02/4/2021 09:30 | The chart looks to be heading back towards the old level of £40 to £45 | mallorca 9
