Man is a collective.
Only through the managed and focused efforts of a hierachical power structure can we achieve and grow.
The human body is an organised and hierachical structure of individual cells each with a purpose but dependent on the whole. Without this structure we we be no more than slime on a rock.
I like what man can achieve when its energies are directed and organised, space exploration, industry, medical advances, art, literature, charity and the defence of the weak. I like the world i live in and feel privaleged to be part of it.
Now lets get that gold out of the ground, turn it into something beutiful and make me a load of dosh in the process.

Great posts from Richgit and Jmobrien.

Worth remembering too that there has been no net growth in wages since 1999. Quite how this fact has supported house price inflation of 20% per annum is unclear to me.

I think in the States wage growth dipped quite noticeably last month, negative wage growth was also a phenomenom of the last bout of serious inflation in the mid-70s.

As posters have already pointed out though, gold is such a small market it is very easy to manipulate by 'interested parties'. The likelihood is though at some stage in the future central banks will have other more urgent things to worry about than the price of gold.

(64bit will be in UK for a few weeks, back out to Phuket end of September hopefully).

short rate the Rand has tanked... and looks set to move further.

You are a short term trader and opportunist,and if it works for you then that`s fine,however most of the so called traders around jump from one 10 day loss to another,in and out on the magic roundabout,but it`s not so magic for most of the
burgeoning compulsive gamblers.
We will all make mistakes and nothing is ever set in stone,however I must admit
Id never have the guts to be short on Gold over a weekend.
