08/8/2004 09:54 | AVM suffers from constpation it's share is so range-bound, however: US and UK markets are falling hard as I predicted a few weeks back, prior to the june 30th rate rise, I said DJIA 9453 at the time on the VIEW thread. Mining stocks will get taken down with the rest, as could be seen with OXUS on friday when gold went up $7...I said this would happen several weeks ago also. Gold is on a mini up leg granted, but the FED and the Jap and European banks will keep the lid on it so that it does not go through $410. I have a low on DJIA 9250 coming up. Oil stocks are going into reverse in the US Gold follows the oil index Oil itself will fall starting in about 7 days from now at $47.50 and will go to $37.50 B | biswell
06/8/2004 19:16 | There are so few genuine shares that are worth holding on the stock market today, and there are even fewer that are actually fairly priced. In Avocet we have everything, well managed, growing rapidly, cheap, amazing cash flow, and a perfect geared hedge against coming economic woes. A bit of patience now, will reap appropriate rewards in the not too distant future. | jeddah jo
06/8/2004 14:18 | This share is very frustrating. | chambeaj
06/8/2004 14:03 | Well thats gold well and truely through $400 after that jobs report | acko2001
06/8/2004 13:49 | There simply isnt much to say,and the stock hardly needs any support any more. The results and drilling report are far beyond what I was hoping for. Penjom looks like it is going to be an even bigger cash cow than ever eventually, with more and more resources and extended life, that should blow out all the sceptics that ever thought this mine was depleting. Zeravshan is going to produce at least another 25,000 ozs at 200$oz or less next year and it looks like this incrediblE bargain purchase is going to self finance all the drilling programmes until we have proven X+Millions of ounces. HAMBRO WATCH OUT!!!!!! The target for 300,000ozs is in the bag for 2006 already if North Lanut proves management`s belief that 50,000 oz per annum may be easily well exceeded +++++++++ more, more more................ In previous statements I felt my investment in Avocet was big enough, now I reckon Im underweight. I wont have much to say this year on this stock,Im simply chilling out, sitting back and patiently waiting for it to explode.UPWARDS and I expect to still be holding in 2006.......WHAT VALUATION THEN???????????????? | richgit
06/8/2004 13:49 | $5 rise in POG and Avocet falls? | brad1

Same for Oxus too - so much good news - shame the Uzbeks have developed a habit of exploding every so often. | dixi
05/8/2004 11:45 | wakey wakey everyone | scotinvestor
04/8/2004 09:13 | Still undervalued and has a long way to go. Needs to break 80p though before we see a good rise, but other resistance levels at around 71p should be broken soon, but may need confirmation to latest news. Has some good support around 60p ish. | brad1
04/8/2004 08:28 | Another few days at this level and I think a golden cross will form. Can anyone else confirm this as i am not a chartist? | beckaroo

03/8/2004 14:50 | Then he felt quite ashamed, and hid his head under his wing; for he did not know what to do, he was so happy, and yet not at all proud. He had been persecuted and despised for his ugliness, and now he heard them say he was the most beautiful of all the birds. Even the elder-tree bent down its bows into the water before him, and the sun shone warm and bright. Then he rustled his feathers, curved his slender neck, and cried joyfully, from the depths of his heart, "I never dreamed of such happiness as this, while I was an ugly duckling." | ohojim
03/8/2004 14:48 | AVM share price looks to be taking out last February's share price peak when gold was about $20 higher. The 30 July announcement may well have helped to remove doubts concerning reserves future. Discernable lack of BB chatter so this would be an appropriate time for a quiet re-rating ? | carntyne
31/7/2004 23:03 | Poor aBismal | theberg |
