all the buyers disappear when there's a sale and come back when it's gone up :-)

You can only buy these when there's stock about - when it's gone it's gone as they say in Tesco.

I'm just holding and waiting here.

First upday again and away these go. If it's not falling much as punters take profits it's not going to get easier in a bullish run. Spread gets to 1p at times too - how much are you giving back trading it each time?

Chart's honicus mximus too imo.

cr, and me, i am holding until the ftse hits the 7000 or so mark and then getting out, building a portfolio at the right prices is hard enough so sitting and holding for the bigger gains is the only way, as the ftse rises and some of these re-enter the ftse 250 or 100 the gains will be huge because of the fund managers that had to sell buying back in, some of these companies will fail but if the risk is spread it is a good time to buy and hold.

Biggest mistake I made in 2003 low was trading and scalping. If I'd just bought and held I'd have made a fortune.

Look at the spread for instance - how can you trade that and not pay out a huge chunk of your gains? Next leg up will be as strong as the first leg up imo I'm not interested in trying to hop in and out - it;'s hard enough to get this stock without giving my gains back in trading.

Pull up a 2 year chart and you'll see this is just a fraction of a bounce from the fall. Definitely not letting any of mine go to feed it. Odey won't either imo.

There just isn't the stock about or the sellers to fill the buys - everything from the 25p level got bought up by Odey nearly - why would anyone sell sub 25p on th way up if they were not prepared to sell on the way down?

I think these have miles higher to go short term imo.

I have placed on my blog a chart showing the present reversal and a break of a resistance line going back to Feb 07.



Also shows the present support line for the rally to carry on.

Dunno - I'm holding for 25p+ over a number of months, 40p a bit longer term - what AVE does on a day to day basis isn't consequential from here imo. Since last June this stock has fallen from 25p on no volume. Odey took the last of the sellers stock that was depressing the price. If there were hardly any small sellers down from 25p I suspect they aren't going to be much selling on the way back up to 25p. Hence buyers are going to struggle to get their buys filled without driving the price back up to that level imo.

Odey's no fool imo - he knows the cost of vehicles has plummeted especially if you buy in bulk as AVE do. Rental are on the increase and AVE are increasing prices for the first time in seven years.

I don't know but if your major costs fall and you're putting your prices up in Europe, and the £ is falling v the Euro then that's a pretty compelling positive over the next 12-24 months imo.
