relevent also to energy/medical division - you only need to make comparisons with Pressure Technologies, its investment in setting up Chesterfield Biogas was a calculated risk which has transformed the share price if not the business!

I will ask this very point, and also progress of the trials at the AGM as I intend, as usual to attend! It might provoke an interesting response in regard to other issues.

DG - good point, developing good IPR which diffrentiates it from the competition is essential to AVG's aspirations of becoming a world class engineering business.

Roger - well spotted and thanks for posting. It would appear the final trials may well be complete by the time of the AGM. Hopefully this will give the group an introduction to Industrial Property Rights - IPR - something the Group has been notably absent of from a secure advantage point of view

DG,

Unless I am mistaken, the report did not really say much about China Aerospace, other than pipe production was now underway, so could not really tell if they were in profit or not , so I suspect they were on the forecast path to profit!.

Roger et al - I suspect the muted response and resistance is due to hesitation until the outcome of this years results are announced indicating progress on the acquisitions of Maloney etc. Year end - May - is very close now. Is not the Chinese aerospace pipe & tube facility already in profit? I thought it was the Siemens production in China that was ramping up towards profit?

After the interims I put an estimate on the value of the aerospace business alone at £2.10 /share. Should be even better after todays RNS as it basically guarantees the Chinese startup will move into profit.

170p proving quite a resistance level. Needs to push past this to break away higher.

Another LTA equating to £2.5m per year of additional revenue (judging by the need to invest in additional facilites), but a fairly muted response from the market.

"Sigma will invest in additional manufacturing capability at its facilities in the UK and China".

Throughout all the recent market turmoil, this one has sat very solid indeed.
Next leg up could be quite rapid.

Morning gleach23..well this is really strange, just checked my ticket and my price was also @143.85 (2054) at 10.20am. Double checked and you are right, the lowest point yesterday was just under 143.I really do not understand it I am very puzzled indeed(where did I get that figure from?) I seem to remember several smallish trades going through around the same time also at 139.85 but now that seems impossible.
I do apologise,no intention to mislead, must go now as the men with white coats are at the door !!

Thanks for the reply Mark,it was the growth that attracted me. I have just bought in at 139.85, seems a good entry point and looking at the chart it seems there is support around 140

Wanttowin,

My opinion: the share price was factoring in substantial growth. Whilst revenue growth has been strong, profitability was not over exciting, hence disappointed sellers. This is always a risk when businesses become highly rated, which is why I top sliced previously, to protect against this risk.

Cheers,

Mark
