27/9/2016 13:45 | AVN somebody just bought £35k Intelsat CEO Takeover TALKToday 04:37 What are your thoughts on Asia Broadcast Satellite and the UK’s Avanti Communications, which is also up for sale right now? JK: I guess there are always going to be some regional players that will compete with the businesses of SES, Eutelsat and Intelsat, but there are only a couple of global players. Doing business globally is something that appeals to customers, that’s our bread and butter, and the reason we look at asset acquisitions is because it may make sense for us. We have a capital expenditure plan for the next few years and it may make sense, instead of spending money building new satellites, to plug some of the holes that we have – or some of our replacement needs – with some of these assets that are available. So it’s just a question of price. | dice1950 | |
