Satellite communications group Avanti advanced 11p to 312.25p after announcing an agreement with BT around the provision of its Business Internet Continuity product.

This uses a satellite broadband system to provide back up to terrestrial telecoms circuits, providing a highly diverse alternative routing for data and giving businesses greater resilience for their internet protocol based operations.

Nothing new but as TW comments:

"Avanti Communications* (AVN) has announced that it is to make its Business Internet Continuity Service, which uses a satellite broadband system to provide back up to terrestrial telecoms circuits, available to BT. While no specific details were provided on the agreement, having such a big name company can only be considered positive."

And his figures :

"Currently trading at 314.25p, Avanti Communications is capitalised at £252.42 million - a 23% premium to net tangible assets as at 30th June 2011 (which does not even include its orbital licenses). Given today's news, I continue to be confident that the company will deliver sales of around £29 million and pre-tax profits of £6.8 million (earnings per share of 8p) for the current financial year (ended 30th June 2012) and sales of £125.4 million and profits of £36.1 million (earnings per share of 34.9p) for the following year. This equates to a prospective PE ratio of 9 times financial year 2013 earnings - and is a compelling valuation for a business that has only just entered into its first full-year of earnings, occupies a commanding position in a high value niche market and has a strong balance sheet. As such, my stance remains "strong buy"."

Take a good look at the chart - the share price is above where ir was at the start of Aug. From the very high of the chart this stock hasn't gone 2 months and been higher than where it started out 2 months earlier.
Definitely found support @ £3 imo.

It should be soon of that I'm confident......mind you I have thought that before. Detail of the BT deal will be leaking somewhere I'm quite sure and that will add to the positive pressure.

Great news but very poor response in the share price and on a good day for the markets. I'm sure your right Sg31 some numbers would have helped but I'm sure AVN have good reasons why they have not added those but whether that should be taken as good or bad is open to debate.

Should get some broker comment,on the basis the company decided to restrict RNS's to those that materially impact the business.
