05/11/2014 09:36 | Shorting took us from a steady £2.80/£3 down to £1.60/£1 It looks likely that the early birds (vultures?) still have time to make 20p or more by clearing their books @ £2.60 ish which I hope they do and go back to looking for road kill! I have always expected our revenues to be suppressed from the first contracts whilst mutually acceptable prices are agreed by fledgling companies who were unsure if they could survive. In a proven market negotiations for future contracts could be less tentative - imvho! I have stuck with my shares since #1 launch when I expected £7 to rise to £9 - those who sold at £6.80 must geniuses? A few director sales surely did not warrant a £3.50 drop? But this AIMS market is so volatile, it is guesswork from day to day. I have faith in the long term which is looking promising from the statement. | nugacity
05/11/2014 07:45 | more like shorters closing or somebody building a position behind the scenes who knows could be a bid coming we will have to be patient and wait | ![]() wilksey1
04/11/2014 22:25 | This is sufficient to make shorters nervous and holders hopeful. About time too, but it is all puzzling as to why now. | ![]() jadeticl3
04/11/2014 18:39 | If that's true...my heart bleeds for them. :-) | ![]() sg31
04/11/2014 17:55 | I heard some stock on loan was recalled and a short was required to buy back and it got a bit squeezed. | megabear
04/11/2014 16:40 | Jefferies the company's broker upped its target price to 275p so may have had some impact but have not seen the details behind their stance so not sure. | ![]() standish11
04/11/2014 16:36 | I wonder what's caused the spike. Has anyone seen any rumours or press comment. £3 by Friday. :-). | ![]() sg31
04/11/2014 15:09 | Interesting day so far. | monkeywrench
04/11/2014 14:59 | Hmmm. If only the market just responded to brokers' "target price". Brokers' notes and target prices hardly worth the paper they're written on IMHO. I doubt it's just that. | ![]() jeffian
04/11/2014 14:37 | Jefferies has increased its target price for AVN to 275p from 250p hence the spike in the share price | ![]() standish11
02/11/2014 13:34 | It doesn't "get me going" at all. It was posted in response to you and Rogk saying (431/432) that there was "NO reason" for the price movement other than being puffed for an imminent Rights Issue, whereas it seems to me that higher-than-average volumes may be a perfectly good reason. | ![]() jeffian
02/11/2014 12:35 | Jeffian - I do not see the point of your chart other than showing that Friday's volume was marginally higher than normal, although not exactly striking. Of course you may see 500/- shares traded as rather exciting. I see it as not so much. We'll just have to differ on what gets us going. | megabear
31/10/2014 22:44 | Megabear, No, not "especially", but actually. Volumes today are noticeably higher than usual. | ![]() jeffian
31/10/2014 21:57 | buywell2 22 Jul'14 - 06:53 - 397 of 440 0 0 AVN Another Very Nasty Example of how rampy posters over egg the investment pudding and luring the unwary and newbes into losing lots of their lolly. Debt will most probably bring this down to earth if the space junk doesn't ================= idiot. | ![]() divinausa1
31/10/2014 20:38 | Again not especially. Volume nothing to write home about. | megabear
31/10/2014 18:38 | Eh? Volume today has been well above average. | ![]() jeffian
31/10/2014 17:44 | Not especially. Volume been pretty low so looks more like being puffed up for some sort of raise. | megabear
31/10/2014 16:08 | If it were fund raising, the price would be dropping would it not? | ![]() revoman
31/10/2014 15:50 | whatever the reason for the rise and however long it may continue, seems quite strong for the time being :) | ![]() doc_oj
31/10/2014 10:27 | I didn't think your money was on anything here! | ![]() jeffian
31/10/2014 09:13 | Tom W's friends and associates who have publicly stated that they shorted AVN at much lower prices must be hurting or perhaps they have/are closing their positions which may account for some of the recent share price improvement. | ![]() standish11
31/10/2014 09:05 | Think you may be right Rogk. To get the next lot of debt away, they need to raise a further $100m in junior finance - aka - equity. So price probably being puffed up for that. I see that the existing debt is now yielding close to 11%. | megabear
23/10/2014 18:39 | Deleted - wrong thread | ![]() 123prezzie |
