I don't think FUM is being shorted but I warned any in short to seriously take a look at the known facts

Seriously guys

My research points to Pfizer about to do a deal with FUM very soon due to the recent patent extension.

Fum didn't link up due to the patent expiry, the patent has been extended for 7 years and Pfizer state themselves that A topical viagra is the next monopoly.

I can't see FUM lasting with a deal with Pfizer a buy out seems inevitable.

Oh and I did my very first short the other day, a whole £120 made (sareum) SC must be trembling in his moccasins.

Come on guys I did get Avanti right, on the price, plethora too, both RHPS tips and the only 2 I challenged.

I had an exchange with TB the other day as to why he promoted Plethora and not FUM.

he said, 'Fum is not a penny share' due to it's price. So I says 'but Avanti is???????'

He said fair point, and then remarked that FUM 'Didn't need his help', that comment stinks re tips imo and yes it is saved for future reference. So what's he saying, some of the shares he tips 'Need his help', alarm bells chaps, I don't mean avanti but what a strange thing to say.

If the news breaks in the way I believe it will, then you will see I'm a good guy and nowt to do with the shorting morons.

I've just seen that Investec have upgraded AVN to a Hold. This now means that there are no analyst sell notes on the stock.

Add this to all the positive news put out by AVN this year, the shareprice dropping only as a result of a vicious shorting campaign, positive results due soon and Hylas2 launching in less than a year and I reckon this stock is now set to fly.

I don't know anything about Charles Stanley Blackberry, but I would agree that they are cheap now.

Good Morning Gorvachof,

Well it looks like a good time to be in ABG....I don't know much about any of your other interests but MML should do well over the short medium and long term....as long as the POG stays strong and I don't see any reason for that to change at present.

Might well be a good time to return to AVN, but I would say that wouldn't I :-)

And that sounds like the sort of reply one would expect from one of Tom winnifiriths sycophants!

I've got 2000 at £3.58 and it's a good job I'm a patient guy and consider this a long-term investment. I won't be selling to crystalise any loss and only invest money I can afford to lose.

That sounds to me like the sort of comment that one would expect from one of EK's misguided disciples.

The point about the EK short is that it exposes TW as a complete shamster.

Out of interest Gorvachof what shares do you hold and do you have any recommendations as a good place to invest ?

Do you hold AVN ?

If EK is short Autonomy I will laugh my head off. Someone also posted a few days ago that EK expected gold to drop; he was right there too!

I'm watching the progress of Futura also. If you remember a few weeks ago sugerg1 advised selling up in AVN and buying heavily into Futura instead at about 85p because it was about to take off. That's not looking particularly prophetic either.

Yes Backmarker but the next trading update will give us an indication which should help put us back on the uptrend and close out the shorters.

yorgi,

I agree, we've held up reasonably well. of course the fact that we'd fallen so far beforehand might have "helped", but I think AVN was showing signs of rallying before that happened.

It will be interesting to see the next trading update, which I suspect will now be issued with the financials. I imagine it will be pretty much the same as before: we are on track/ahead of schedule. It will be interesting to see what figure is in for Revenues, as there should be a couple of months where Hylas-1 started earning. However I suspect we won't get a clear picture until the following 6-monthly which will cover 2H2011

Considering all the carnage around we have held up quite well this last week or so.......yes I know we have fallen a long way from our dizzy highs there is no argument there.......but we have not plummeted this week or last....Says something to me.

I was referring to Knackers Chrissey, your post sneaked in while I was posting.

Mind you !

The directors can't keep buying but maybe they will buy more but if they bought as many as they have and some not very long ago I think they have given the reassurance required but if the shorters have the upper hand for the moment then it just gives us the chance to buy cheaper fine by me :-)

They were wrong with Autonomy and HP saw a bargain !

They are wrong here but if you want to short Chrissey then just go ahead :-) I'm looking to see if I can find a few more ££££'s to add :-)

BTW, I live in the US, you may want to browse www.hughesnet20.com , they have been carrying out quite an advertising campaign for their satellite broadband offerings, there is some interesting reading.

don't be like that yorgi!

I think, filing coins of the realm aside (still treason I think), some fundamental support through director buying would be welcome.

If they were happy buying in the high 300's, unless they are broke, buying in the high 200's seems quite smart, given that they know how well the business is doing.

Maybe they are being even smarter and waiting for more price weakness to pile in.

Broadband not mainstream ? A business model that's not delivering ? The returns will come and when they do they will be healthy !
