11/8/2011 17:24 | With regards to pricing, I seem to remember reading Avanti touting a half meg service to wholesalers at typically £7 per customer? | gorvachof
11/8/2011 16:25 | Looking very much like your timing was spot on colva :-) | ![]() yorgi
11/8/2011 15:59 | I'm sure it will be no surprise to most who have followed the story here but TW reiterated again today a strong buy. Also off AVN he thinks EK may have lost his marbles (some such words) as he EK thinks gold is "looking toppy" | ![]() yorgi
11/8/2011 11:09 | Like many, I thought I was buying the bottom, paid 404 & 375. Who can say where the bottom really is? But from here it is difficult to see not making a profit by waiting. Just as a guide, from here if we reach £15 in 5 years that's 37% a year. | ![]() alexx
11/8/2011 10:05 | Clearly AVN won't be getting £20 a time but just bear in mind that is only one of AVN contracts........wha | ![]() yorgi
11/8/2011 10:02 | backmarker, I was going to say the same thing. AVN are 'wholesalers' of capacity to service providers who then sell on to retail customers, so what any retail customers pay is not strictly relevant and those sort of revenues certainly won't flow directly back top AVN. Good news, nonetheless. | ![]() jeffian
11/8/2011 10:01 | Quite so Argy........and buying at 500p (I added just over) seemed like a good price at the time but buying around 300p was obviously the better :-) | ![]() yorgi
11/8/2011 09:56 | someuwin, I assume AVN is selling in bulk, so the revenues should be in chunks rather than per capita usage. is the £20 figure you are using the expected retail figure, or what you think AVN's take might be ? I'd be surprised if AVN was getting as much as that bwdik. although no numbers were given for this contract I notice that AVN is emphasising the quality of the company. AVN is clearly being well received by the big and serious players in all sectors - in line with expectations. | ![]() backmarker
11/8/2011 09:49 | yorgi Tou may be right eventually but many have been saying that since £5+ | ![]() argy2
11/8/2011 09:41 | The potential has been stressed by many analysts for a long time hence the high target for the share price from them all but the shorters got a grip of it and here we are.......but at this level it won't be long before we all look back and think why didn't I buy more in August 2011 :-) In my case no more free cash today :-( | ![]() yorgi
11/8/2011 09:34 | "equivalent to over 1m potential customers for fast satellite broadband." So 1 million customers paying (conservatively) £20 per month... 1,000,000 * 20 * 12 = 240,000,000. Potentially £240 million revenue per year from this additional contract just in Spain. (obviously not everyone will sign up with AVN, but these rough figures show the enormous potential here) | ![]() someuwin
11/8/2011 09:10 | Very much so Jonny.......well done Colva :-) | ![]() yorgi
11/8/2011 09:08 | Seems to be moving up. | ![]() someuwin
11/8/2011 08:57 | Look upon it as a chance to buy into good news at a low price. Bought some more this morning. | colva
11/8/2011 08:24 | shame these came during meltdown, ho hum! | ![]() jonnyno1
11/8/2011 07:15 | Another new contract. Obviously the business model must be terribly flawed to be able to win these! :-) | garymott
10/8/2011 10:20 | estienne......your type have been and gone on here, the info posted by ek`s brigade was false and they knew it. Thats criminal whatever way you like to butter it up. This company are at the forefront of new technology and im still certain that one day that will be reflected in the price. Next sattelite up and away in 6-8 months and the comapany are on track to meet market expectations. Not many aim stocks can say that. If you dont like the company...dont invest. As for shorting this...do you not think it would have tanked over the last week if we were not somewhere near the bottom??? | ![]() jonnib
10/8/2011 09:33 | Making money by putting out incorrect information is hardly anything to be admired. | ![]() yorgi
10/8/2011 09:28 | He correctly predicted that AVN would plummet. It was even obvious to me that the post launch price was unsustainable and I thought it would find support at £4.50. If it was so obvious then why did TW still push PI's to invest? It seems pretty evident that he thought first of his client's (Avanti's) interests rather than those of the PI's he was supposed to be helping on his T1PS site. EK had no axe to grind and was only concerned with making money from share price fluctuations; in that objective he prove himself to be much more astute than TW. | ![]() estienne
10/8/2011 09:09 | EK used disinformation and his disciples ensured he mad money but that does not give him credibility anymore than one should follow looters into a shop and walk out with a TV rather than paying for it when the shop is open. | ![]() yorgi
10/8/2011 09:01 | There will be plenty of time for the shorters. Many PI's were encouraged to buy these shares by TW on T1PS. However Avanti is TW's client and so the motivation for his recommendation was pretty questionable. EK demonstrated more credibility by advising PI's to sell but few listened. | ![]() estienne
10/8/2011 08:21 | 'Every cloud'....... Well at least (it seems) you know here the bottm is now. What a ride. I do hope a few shorters are struggling to offload the markets today ho ho. | ![]() superg1
08/8/2011 14:15 | Army comms engineers wouldnt know the provider, defence companies like, Bae, Thales will provide a service to them, they dont need to know who provides the transport medium | ![]() dodge meister
08/8/2011 12:39 | Good to see your still with us Greengiant :-).....I added last week but looks like I should have waited till this week but will still look good in 12 months time I'm quite sure. | ![]() yorgi |
