01/3/2011 16:33 | I see ASOS is up again today | ![]() malcolmmm
01/3/2011 16:31 | Simon , your former Idiot Diarist is delighting in telling his subscribers about your few 'failures' (ASOS... err) Do you think you might have a few months spare to note down all of TW's 'great tips' from the past :-p :-) | omnitrix
01/3/2011 16:30 | Simon, How is GTE doing ? | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 16:23 | Well, I'm pleased for you Simon that you love what you see and even happier to hear that you regularly light up a big cigar ! Yorgi | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 16:19 | yorgi, I face myself in the mirror every day and love what I see. I then light up a big cigar. Sometimes I do it the other way round. SC | ![]() simon cawkwell
01/3/2011 16:15 | Well I've not been in it that long but long enough to know recognise an odious and arrogant person, but he has to face himself in the mirror everyday ! | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 16:12 | Thirty years in the markets tells me I am 100% right on Cawkwell. When you walk across minefields, one day you will step on one. | ![]() restassured
01/3/2011 16:11 | I would say your quite right Restassured. | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 16:09 | That is for the courts to decide. However if it looks and smells like one ..... | ![]() restassured
01/3/2011 16:06 | Omnitrix I haven't heard where you think TW's case to buy AVN is wrong ? | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 16:06 | restassured, Criminals? Quite possibly? Not certainly? You ought to be clear. When I was teaching Hugh Hendry basic Glaswegian all those years ago I regaled him with bear raider tales. So you can blame me - yet again. SC | ![]() simon cawkwell
01/3/2011 16:03 | yorgi ... he goes where the opportunities are , be that long or short right I'm off before restassured blows a blood vessel :-) | marksnsparkle
01/3/2011 15:58 | The same Hugh Hendry that appeared on CNBC telling everyone he was leveraged long gilts, then he said he wasn't when the market tanked. The same Hugh Hendry that was on CNBC again saying he was long Potash and then when it tanked he said he wasn't. They are all scumbags. Arrogant self opinionated megalomaniacs. Criminals, quite possibly. | ![]() restassured
01/3/2011 15:57 | LOL haven't heard a peep out of Hugh Hendry since his 'performance' on Question Time where he came across as an embarrassing muppet | omnitrix
01/3/2011 15:51 | Yes very true Marksnsparkle :-) Does Hugh Hendry go in big time for shorting or has he built his reputation on backing winners ? | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 15:47 | yorgi ... that's kind of my point you have heard of Simon but you have never heard of Hugh Hendry Hugh Hendry is a very successfully Hedge Fund Manager .. Simon's the man the Daily Mail dubbed 'The King of the Short Sellers' ... yes you heard it right, not the FT, not Bloomberg, but the financial powerhouse that is the Daily Mail :-) I'm not knocking Simon, he has made a great success of his exploits ... I'm just trying to point out what market he broadcasts/appeals to | marksnsparkle
01/3/2011 15:39 | This I'm sure is true Greengiant but we know that there are some that will follow his every word. For that t1ps only have themselves to blame for boosting his successes and not his failings ! | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 15:36 | Thank for that Marksnsparkle, I'm learning that now, I have not followed the man closely before but I can't say I can find anything good to say about him. Yes he has made money in helping finish off some lame ducks in the past and now many will follow his every word and help recover his gambling losses for him. Not difficult to see through now. I never heard of Hugh Hendry I have to admit. | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 15:33 | Omnitrix, The key issues with regard to SC's original argument have so thoroughly been addressed that he has now been reduced to feelings rather than fundamentals. Hence the reason why today there was no details on anything fundamental which was in stark contrast to his earlier very incorrect postings. When you move from tangible to intangible so quickly, your argument falls away. Gg | ![]() greengiant
01/3/2011 15:30 | yorgi & paleje ... Simon's a self proclaimed bear raider, but he is also a wind up merchant Like a lot of the self styled AIM gurus he is a big fish in a little pi pond ... have you ever seen Hugh Hendry posting on advfn after taking a short position :-) | marksnsparkle
01/3/2011 15:25 | O/T his football tip for the weekend was wrong as well......but he would not admit that today either. | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 15:24 | Omnitrix you are wrong on post 3893 a substantial amount of AVN's shares are held by institutions. EDIT And not nominee accounts either | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 15:23 | Simon Cawkwell is just a sleazy stock manipulator. If the FSA did its job,he would be in jail not the west indies. He was expelled from two professional organisations. No guilt admitted. Goldman just paid $550 million in fines and didn't admit wrongdoing either. | ![]() restassured
01/3/2011 15:21 | Omintrix SC seems unwilling to put his case forward again as to why it is a sell ? Probably because he now knows he was wrong last week but he is not man enough to stand up and admit he was wrong. Do you want to ? Do you believe that TW's case why AVN is a buy is wrong or flawed ? | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 15:21 | restassured - 1 Mar'11 - 15:13 - 3887 of 3894 Simon Cawkwell the man expelled from several professional organisations for seemingly criminal behaviour. Perhaps you would like to post details restassured? | ![]() argy2 |
