01/3/2011 08:14 | Thanks for sharing those thoughts Orado, "not got a clue what they are talking about" and I'm quite sure that hits the nail on the head. | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 08:13 | The director that bought yesterday is i believe the director that is on the board to represent a major shareholder - if iv got my facts right( il have to check) then that would be a big vote of confidence in the company. | colva
01/3/2011 08:11 | Buy for the bounce. Will easily be back at 650-700p on next news imo. | ![]() someuwin
01/3/2011 08:11 | Believe me, well not me, but my son, who is in this field. SC and his cronies have not got a clue what they are talking about. They may know about making money from shorting, but about this business - make me laugh. I am happy to keep adding at these prices. - Thanks. | ![]() orado
01/3/2011 08:09 | Colva, yes I noticed he appeared to choose his words quite carefully and one can't argue with what he actually said last night. Also he would appear not to want to enter into any debate. | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 08:03 | On the way back up. | ![]() someuwin
01/3/2011 07:53 | I,v been reading SC,s blogs for years and he can be very clever in his choice of words. Last night,s post was very tame - as a holder i feel quite reassured. | colva
01/3/2011 07:32 | Another director buy. | ![]() someuwin
01/3/2011 01:17 | Cenkos, Avanti's joint house broker, blamed the share price decline on "aggressive promotion of ideas based on misunderstandings" about the company's technology and competitive positioning. "This provides an excellent buying opportunity for investors as both these positions are wrong and we are confident the shares will rally strongly on the back of inaugural Hylas 1 [satellite] sales next month and on-going contract wins," Cenkos said. We are confident that investors will quadruple their investment over the next two years." | ![]() malcolmmm
01/3/2011 00:14 | Perhaps SC doesn't have any contact details of his informant so cannot check matters! so cannot answer the experts who say his informant is wrong.Perhaps it wouldn't be in his interest to check at present, he could always say on his return that he has checked matters and found his informant wrong on this occasion and go long. The fact that SC has to check matters for himself seems to me that perhaps he now isn't that confident of his informants info. Directors have been buying for 3 days, they know the technolgy involved and looking at the blaring errors in SC's informants analysis, he doesn't. One wonders if his informant posts on here! A few hefty late buys around 516p | ![]() malcolmmm
01/3/2011 00:00 | Hmmm - so SC signs on just to spread a bit more FUD (fear uncertainty and doubt) before he disappears for a couple of days. If I was in the West Indies, I don't think I'd be doing that ...except if I felt it was necessary just to keep up the downward pressure on the share price But his arguments are flawed and thats why we don't get an answer to Gekk's post 3830. | ![]() melody9999
28/2/2011 23:36 | That says it all, SC -Incidentally, I am "stuck" in the West Indies and cannot check matters . Matters have been checked and SC's informant's analysis shown to be rubbish | ![]() malcolmmm
28/2/2011 23:03 | Enjoy the rays Simon. We pays our money and takes our choices. Must say the the graph looks very unpromising - bit like a rocket launch that failed. TW and others so very keen that I bought a very few at 10% above today's close. And I'm going to sit this one out. On the plus side - gave up backing the geeges three months ago and cancelled my Racing UK subscription . 60 years experience did not seem to pay off. That will cover AVN !! Cheers BillC | ![]() wc1
28/2/2011 22:18 | cawky lol - sounds like you have started early yourself any more tips for this weekend's round of football matches? ;-) | ![]() geheimnis2
28/2/2011 22:11 | SC, Having read your book and followed you on t1ps for some years, I must say your current rantings are out of character with your normal considered comments. If you feel AVN is heading lower fair enough, but how about an intelligent reason for your views ? | ![]() gekks
28/2/2011 22:03 | That answers nothing......in three words. | ![]() yorgi
28/2/2011 21:59 | In a word, drink. | ![]() simon cawkwell
28/2/2011 21:51 | cawky how do you explain the material director's purchases? | ![]() geheimnis2
28/2/2011 21:47 | Giovannina, It is a small point but you declare that you trust nobody but surely you trust yourself? Incidentally, I am "stuck" in the West Indies and cannot check matters as I would wish until late Wednesday or, possibly, Thursday. But I have every reason to trust my source and continue to bet that AVN is in trouble share price-wise. Simon Cawkwell | ![]() simon cawkwell
28/2/2011 21:45 | Chrissey Spot on with that : "I'm more of the 'nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd' view and unfortunately, SC, for whatever reason, has enough people hanging on his every word and action and on that basis, right or wrong (morally or technically), he can't fail, can he." MelJohn, Did TW tip MML ? | ![]() yorgi
28/2/2011 21:33 | well said Mel! it doesn't stop people though and sometimes, the result of such herd mentality is too interesting not to act on, especially when one sees an adverse move, up or down, it's really the same. | chrissey
28/2/2011 21:27 | If you have done your research and have confidence in your own judgement then its just a case of sitting back and riding the ups and downs. If you are trying to trade every movement and watching and listening to every tip and every rumour, every piece of information and disinfomation, every ramp and every deramp, then best of luck. You'll need it ... SC fails often enough. Like many other sources, he's worth listening to. But following? Do I really want advice from someone who regards horse racing as an investment? Wish I had his contacts, though ... As for TW, just one ticker - MML. | meljohn
28/2/2011 20:37 | Greyseal....it does not matter to u if I hold or not my point is I dont trust anybody in this game, but I tell u something .....I happen to know EK and TW for a long while now and I know that both of them make colossal blunders once in a while ....and TB is not different, so use your judgement and common sense dont invest more than you can afford and bla...bla....bla.... | giovannina
28/2/2011 20:35 | I was in here at £2 and out at £6 (but only to free up some cash for a swing trade, had the intention of buying back once complete) and I am seeing this has dropped significantly - I've gone back a few pages on here but haven't really found out why this is in freefall - without me having to go digging can someone please tell me what is going on here? | derekhess |
