It has been well documented that using frozen saliva is a hindrance so some LFTs and actually hands an advantage to inferior tests. Hence they are no longer insisting on PD and given Avacta was independently verified in the EU one would imagine once production at a much higher sustainable level large deals will come snd at least 5m will be sold a month. I would prefer 30m but still even at £2 profit each test it's nice and can go to further R&D.

Had to take pwhite of filter as I couldn't believe the comments that he really said shipping meant by ship. Unreal, back on filter again.

We know Mologic and Avacta did not get through PD with their LFTs due to the ridiculous methodology it used which the EU and FDA disagrees with. You no longer have to go through PD to sell LFTs. We have sold whatever number was made and production will continue increasing and we will sell the subsequent batches. Bore off.

Here is the latest approved DHSC list dated 09/08/2021. AVCT are not on it so they will not be awarded any UK or overseas contracts.

This company's LFT was approved only last week.

DenScreen SARS CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Test: Non-Invasive Nostril Swab Pass 3 August 2021.

The company was formed in April 2020 by three dentists so they would make inroads into the dental market.

Also, if a significant mutation that affects detection new affimers can be produced a lot more quickly than monoclonal antibodies etc. We are future proofed against new significant mutations. That would likely open up even more licensing agreements and or OEMs.

With travel becoming easier now and new variants cropping up all over the place, Avacta's LFT will be needed more than ever. Older more dated types of LFT will struggle to catch these new variants whereas AVCT test is designed differently and should able to pick up new variants.

Anyone take any notice of someone who said they would no longer post here but does so and without a financial interest? Who invested in Iconic labs which had billions of shares in issue. Called NCYT short at 50p. Said we could no longer sell into the EU due to new regs and called the CEO and NOMAD liars. Said we could not get a CE through Mologic and just makes stuff up. I mean I believe him to be in a home rather than a HGV driver or in IT. I mean he thought shipping was excluding to sending good by sea/ocean. What a clown. Anyway, hopefully come end of this month we can have 5m tests per month off production line and they will all sell. LFTs around for years and the best will be used due to PCR cost and public pressure.

Ship comment is as dim as. He.s just being a pratt. Oven, if you.ve held this long, no point in selling now- not as sales are likely to pick up.Covid isnt over -new voi/vocs are inevitable given the lack of vaccines worldwide and borders opening on economic grounds. Countries have to sell their products - gov debt issues not hit yet - in denial. No new major anti-virals discovered yet - just marginal types - so far - this is part of the crucial process of escaping our ongoing dark times. Virus vectors currently can way too easily hop on planes etc - WHO is hopeless ( not it.s fault - but the Big Boyz) Global warming issues may hopefully lead to less travel, fewer goods being shipped/flown around the world - along with it, a reduction in virus movements. The need for a greener world may play nicely into nationalistic hands/tendencies, politically...we.ll see. Have a great day ...Cambridge for me nxt. Ooph.

Not sure why I read PWhite's posts as we know he has an agenda and isn't invested. We also know he said we wouldn't get a CE mark and said due to new Brexit regs we can't sell to the EU. He makes it up.Also, what muppets thinks something being 'shipped' means it's actually going by sea? I'm pretty sure the stuff buy from the US which has been shipped yet arrives within a fees days goes over the ocean but not through it.

Agreed. LFTs will be around for ages and the Chinese ones have a very bad rep. Sell to the EU and beyond. Sure Medusa is busy too.

They wouldn't be scaling up manufacturing unless they had orders. Why make the product if you can't sell it. Update on orders should be incoming soon.

I think it's mainly about manufacturing scale up. LFTs will be sold for well over a year snd likely to beyond winter 2022."Manufacturing scale up continues to progress well and we remain focused on the challenge of being able to supply the clear demand in the market."We continue to see significant levels of commercial interest from around the world and are progressing a number of opportunities in a range of sectors. I look forward to updating the market on further developments."

Maybe A/S is hopeful of rough sea for is next of a long line of delays excuses.
Joking apart even I was expecting some sales by now when you look back at the delusional numbers banded on here I can't imagine how those giddy investors are feeling

Shipments is most likely an older term which originally referred to products retrieved from a large cargo ship. Take a container of goods that will be transported by some means (sea, road, air). From the frame of reference of the ship, truck, or plane, and the people handling the container while in transit, that container is cargo. When something has been shipped from Amazon in Nottingham to be in London I'm pretty sure it's not coming via boat.nounthe transport of goods by sea or some other means.

Perhaps David Cameron should be in charge.
At least he knows how to make money and is close to the Government!
