Piedmont Lithium (NASDAQ:PLL) – Piedmont Lithium faced resistance in a meeting with North Carolina officials over its proposed lithium mine for Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA). The project, more than two years on hold, has divided the community, addressing the tension between local resistance and the US quest for independence from Chinese minerals. While the company has expressed openness to helping affected neighbors, the lack of details shared has raised concerns in the community.Piedmont down 6% and nearing year 52 week low.No mention of Ghana.

In the cold light of day the fact the government statement named Atlantic lithium has put ALL firmly on the radar with investment companies and government have absolutely no alternative than grant a license on realistic terms in order to encourage future investment. If they don't they are not fulfilling their own objectives regarding encouraging future investment. Directors clearly seen this hence they have increased their holding as did I.

Very assured interview on VOX. Backed up today by their own money.

Good to see directors buying some more shares.

At this point if we take a step back I think (and hope) we are at peak fear moment and near the bottom in terms of the share price.

We sort of knew that the fiscal structure would change. There had been plenty of interviews suggesting it would. The announcement a couple of days ago was just confirmation. As we know the annoying thing is we don't know how much more of the cake they want. Obviously when that is clear the market can take a fairer view. So at the moment we still have the uncertainty.

Then if we also look at where we are, the project has now had a DFS carried out, most of the capex is funded, and the rest should come from an off-take agreement. The resource size is still likely to increase. The NPV and IRR of the project are exceptional (even with conservative lithium price forecasts). The project can still get to production much quicker than say one in Europe that will be stuck in bureaucracy for years. The price of lithium has bounced spodumene is around $4000/t. Most governments are still massively forcing the transition to EV agenda.

Interesting to see directors buying in - yet again! This has been going on over a period and substantial.

About £7.5m worth in the last 9 months - as far as I can see. Steady buying by those in the know!

The Insider buying has done wonders for the share price - up around 7% so far today.

So higher value product, better royalties and exactly what ALL has proposed?

Leo Lithium proposed below, that DSO would be shipped at $700/t prior to standing up the processing plant to create the concentrate. We model production of 60kt of 1.4% Li2O DSO prior to commissioning of the flotation process plant to be sold at US$700/t. Argonaut's review of hard rock lithium miners suggests that developers struggle to meet nameplate recovery and production schedules outlined in feasibility studies. Because of this, we model initial process plant lithium recoveries of 50%, increasing to 80% over a 30-month period. At full Stage 2 production, the operation produces ~792kt of SC6 concentrate per annum. In early ramp up years, recoverable production per tonne of material processed is assisted by slightly higher grades.

Happy to be shot down but surely the only issue is what the royalties maybe? As per the interview. The flow sheet includes benefaction, produces at the end a concentrate. We are not digging a hole, dump this into a truck, and sending it out the country. Which is basically what Ghana and others (I.e. Zimbabwe don't want)
