27/6/2003 21:18 | Well guys, I believe the rise today is purely on the back of straight forward volume of buying. No large orders etc in the pipeline, if there was I reckon the MM's would be shaking the tree and lowering the price in order to get a good price for the large buyer. As I said earlier I topped up again this morning at 68p and this is my final buy. I reckon the annoucement is almost upon us as the company will be inclined to release the news into a postive market. As the shares have had an execllent run up from the mid 30p figure their newly appointed broker / adviser will be suggesting this is capitalised upon. As I said in post 137 most profit taking will be post annoucement although I am mindful of the old stock market adage : " its better to travel than arrive ". PS - When I first started posting about this share on this BB I also happened to mention this share on the GHT BB. Perhaps thats what attracted further interest.Ultimately everyone has been / will be ( I hope )richly rewarded from buying this share. I am currently researching another stock which I believe will be as profitable as ATL for one and all. Haven't quite finished the researching but if folk are interested in what I have found please let me know via this BB. If the general consenus is that folk wish to know about this stock then I will post details, if not fair enough. Hope everyone has a good weekend. | trt
27/6/2003 21:04 | Check out trt's post 108. Regards | excelsior
27/6/2003 20:30 | Joined this stock first thing this am - why its a L trade i dont know but at least i got in before todays upward thrust. Can someone pl explain why they think the announcement is due either first few days of July or even Monday. Ive not seen anything concrete to suggest a date etc for such an announcement. thanks David | janeann
27/6/2003 19:29 | I agree with you, littlewillie, I'm not expecting much profit-taking before announcement. I also believe there is a large order or orders in place which is causing the price to rise. When the announcement is made I expect many short-term/T-traders to exit, only for the bigger boys to soak up the shares. The question is, how many bigger players are going to compete? It's going to be interesting. The market cap is still only £16.6 million. The company's potential warrants a much higher valuation. We will see if others agree with me by buying the shares. | excelsior
27/6/2003 18:07 | I don't think you'll see much profit taking, its a tightly held share and todays hike was on the back of a total of LESS than 290k share turnover. I reckon there's been a leak or a large[?] order placed and they don't have the shares; if so the mm's games don't appear to have worked...lw | littlewillie
27/6/2003 15:42 | There will of course, for some, be a time for profit taking and I feel this will be immediately following the announcement. Many investors have bought heavily into this share , rightly so , over the last few weeks and many of them may well decide to grab the fantastic profit they have made. Once the selling has died down that will be the time to top up. If ATL announce that quite a few of its current clients have signed up for the new software then future earnings will be guaranteed and we will be on course for that magic EPS of 2 or higher. Will the profit takers have any large impact on the price ? I fear they will as this share is very illquid and thus very volatile. If investors are thinking of taking a profit on the big day then they will have to act quickly. How much downside is there ? If we remain at the current price or higher, which has in fact risen over 80% over the last few weeks, then i feel we could drop back to the mid 40p level. good luck to one and all !! | trt
27/6/2003 15:14 | Extract from AGM statement : These initiatives demonstrate that the increased investment made over the last few months in the research and development of new products and in sales and marketing has given us the opportunity to make further improved product offerings to both existing and new customers. In addition we are maintaining our forward momentum and expect to announce the release of a major new software product in July 2003 for which initial customer interest has been excellent, this product will enable executive teams to have complete control over business budgets, resources and milestone deliverables." "The growth potential of Atlantic Global remains substantial with our software being increasingly capable of delivering considerable benefit to most types of organisation. We believe we are extremely well positioned to achieve significant growth in the future." I have posted before the long list of Blue Chip companies that currently use ATL's software. It is quite impressive and Norwich union is among them. Press reports say new software is for the insurance industry in the main. However it may well be used by other service industries and this would of course increase earnings even further. | trt
27/6/2003 15:01 | what's the reason for share price rise? there's nothing concreate about their softwares to be used by insurance co. Nothing suggests yet. IMO DYOR | nmitra
27/6/2003 14:40 | trt again i hope your right | morose
27/6/2003 14:13 | investors will be paying very close to 80p on the offer i reckon during Monday. Bought some more stock this morning at 68p. When the annoucement comes if we have several big insurance companies signed up in addition to Norwich Union ( rumoured to have already agreed to go with new software )then the price will move significantly higher. Do not underestimate the potential revenue that will be made as a result of this new software and on going maintence contracts. EPS of 2 or possibly nearer 3 will then be on the cards !!! | trt
27/6/2003 13:45 | trt hope yer right | morose
27/6/2003 12:57 | moving higher now as i write. i imagine investors want to get on board today rather than leave it until Monday when they may well be forced to pay a premium over the current offer price. | trt
27/6/2003 09:38 | trt words of wisdom clearly!!! | paulkent
27/6/2003 06:37 | We may well see a further rise today as there are only two trading days left before July. | trt
26/6/2003 19:57 | Thanks trt for your thoughts. | shanrea
26/6/2003 14:43 | Maybe the city is expecting annoucement very soon. Must be some big delayed buys yet to show. | trt
26/6/2003 14:10 | Something seems to be happening right now! | morose
26/6/2003 13:37 | Why has the price almost doubled in the last few weeks? Surely this discounts the awaited news, and if the news doesn't happen to be 100% positive what will happen to the share price? Shares can go down as quickly as they go up! | morose
26/6/2003 12:10 | We are on the move again guys don't get left behind if you want to grab a few more. I wonder if the company might surprise us all and sneek the annoucement out before the end of june !!! | trt
25/6/2003 19:43 | Shanrea, Yes we all know an annoucement is due in July but what we don't know is how many blue chip insurance companies have / will sign up to use it. Press talk of Norwich Union having already signed up but if ATL can get others on board then the software is well on the road to becoming industry standard. That is when we are talking big revenue for ATL. EPS will jump dramatically as increased profits materalise. EPS of 2 or even 2.9 could be possible. That puts the share price on a much higher level than it currently is. So folk are buying because this is a growth stock and to fully benefit you have to get in early. If in July we have an announcement re software that is accompnied by news of a good take up by the insurance industry then ATL will be re-rated due to the potential growth of forward earnings and we can then look forward to a signifcantly higher share price than we currently have. | trt
25/6/2003 13:26 | Lets face it...TIMES ARE TOUGH every move we make effects our future, be smart get the research you need and want before your next move. You may think you have all the right info and know all you need to; But if you could find that something extra that made the difference this would be it. Check it out at | hammie4
25/6/2003 13:11 | Newcomer to this board, and am impressed. I hold atl shares but at this moment am concerned that news about new software is already built into price. Would be grateful for any opinions. MANY THANKS. | shanrea
21/6/2003 15:34 | What a beautiful surprise, I come home from France to find that the life savings on ATL have doubled. Intuition and Faith, this is a big lesson. Back into the silence to do some waiting. Gratitude, Gratitude. | sugarbee |
