04/7/2003 08:03 | trt et al...hope you picked up my offering to you regarding ntx....major announcement today. Inevitably, more to follow. I believe NXT will grow faster than ATL, but it's going to be a close call. I, too, will be picking up more ATL on any retracement. Regards. | excelsior
04/7/2003 07:38 | i think you should go for it fjgooner!!!...but dont ignore that share prices dont usually reflect where a company IS, but where it might be going...so im not sure ur P/E calcs on old numbers are that relevant | paulkent
04/7/2003 06:56 | fjgooner, I have never mentioned this share on any other BB except GHT, and this was only once when the price was 38p. I obviously cannot account for others. By all means short this share if you can / want but if it does fall back I will be topping up. Forget the current PE Ratio based on historic earnings and look to the future as this share has huge potnetial with further contract wins on the way. | trt
04/7/2003 00:54 | One thing long termers on other dedicated bulletin boards don't like is uninvited guests spreading ATL adverts onto their boards. We don't do it to you and mutual repsect would be nice. This here pup may entertain you lot but stop spamming others' boards please with this desperate rubbish. I've also worked either in or around IT all my life but I wouldn't touch this with anyone else's barge pole on a historical PE of 127 (lol!) and a "largest contract win to date, worth just £300,000". With a Market Cap of £17.7 Million making a PE of 128! Do me a favour! Spam where people can't spot it, old son. Spam on any boards that investors frequent and I'm sure that they'll immediately flag this up for what it is. I'm sure that's not what you intend - i.e. getting a flood of sellers. I have to say though - now you've brought this to my attention - I'm astonished its broken 25p (it's currently a whopping 75p). Does anyone know of a firm that will allow shorting of such a small stock? I don't short stocks myself (a deeply held, almost religious principle) but this looks ripe. A user called Topinfo has been spreading this excellent proposition over the ARM, GHT, MDY, GMG, IMG, TRK, PON and TFC boards. Many thanks. | fjgooner
03/7/2003 19:39 | makday, A bid is not the issue here. Yes many of us have done very well here but what is the issue, for me anyway, is whats coming next and its not a takeover. I expect further annoucements re new software take up by some more of ATL's blue chip clients, in particular the ones mentioned in the statement at the beginning of the week and that I also referred to in an earlier posting.( after all I was right when I said Norwich Union were the company who would sign up first for the new software !! ). When the next annoucement comes just watch the price. We have all seen how quickly it moves and if you are not on board you miss most of the rise. We cannot expect news and massive share price rises everyday , there will obviously be days / weeks when nothing happens. I am prepared to wait and can sleep easy owning a share in a company that I know has huge potential and also provides the odd bit of excitement along the way ( share price rises of over 20% in one day ). As I have said before I will be adding on any weakness. | trt
03/7/2003 19:35 | You derampers never change. You pick the parts of the statement out that you see could be bad, and then spew it out over and over again. Fair enough, they Norwich Union may not order any more, but read that part again... awarded by Norwich Union, part of Aviva, the UK's largest insurer. PART OF AVIVA. How big is Aviva, and how many parts of the company overlap. You could soon find the commercial union et al parts of the company beginning to take it up as well. Basically, Norwich union could end up being the guinea pig for the rest of the company. If Aviva pick up on it, it could be massive! PS : I am a software consultant, AND worked for CGNU, so have an idea what I am on about. I have bought into these now, and am holding till at least £1. | the pink pound
03/7/2003 18:28 | Are you boys saying there is more to come,if so why is the share price going in the wrong direction. The only way this will go up now is when somebody makes a bid.To be honest guys you've done well recently so i don't see much in the upward direction for time being.Unless of course you boys know more than I do. | makday
03/7/2003 15:52 | bbb, Yes but the key word is INITIAL. If there wasn't the possibility of Norwich Union buying more then the word INITIAL would have been left out. | trt
03/7/2003 14:53 | but is norwich union planning to have more than 1,500 bums on seats busily managing portfolios, projects and resources? although this software is at the economy end of the market, with the insurance industry under pressure to cut costs, that's no reason to over order! | bbbb
03/7/2003 14:05 | Yes you are right Taurusthebear. So many people just don't read statements properly. Thats why they have been selling over the last few days. | trt
03/7/2003 10:37 | Interesting wording:- The contract, awarded by Norwich Union, part of Aviva, the UK's largest insurer, is for Atlantic Global to supply an initial 1,500 licenses for its new Business Portfolio, Project, Resource and Milestone Management software, 'Adeo Corporate Vision'. | taurusthebear
02/7/2003 16:29 | In the end not a bad finish.Question, what is the liklihood of this company being taken over considering it's profitable and the potential it possesses, would a bigger IT company court with ATL??? | blopblup

02/7/2003 08:58 | ur right trt...in fact i think i might go back to ignoring it for a while and concentrate on some others... oh and by the way, i think i misread you in an earlier post..thought you were trying to disguise pitching a short at us...i got you wrong so many apologies..its jsut that i seem to have become twistedly distrustful of peoples motives over the last year or so on here!!!!!...i must go back to "Trust-school"!!! | paulkent
02/7/2003 08:41 | I think its healthy for the share price at this stage to see those undecided / under - researched / short termers selling. I have done some serious homework and spent an enormous amount of time researching this share and just like yesterday I am not concerned by the volatility of the price. As the weeks go by and more annoucements are made ( and there will be further annoucements !! ) the price will move up and stay up. I suppose thats the trouble when you keep looking at the price daily, and its up one minute and down the next. | trt

02/7/2003 07:28 | get into MDY! still rising David Conn, Chief Executive Officer said: 'Successful completion of final quality testing is a major milestone in the development of the Futura Safety Syringe. I am confident that the product will be well received by clinicians and that it will be a significant market opportunity for the Group.' | tonyleongson
