Without dampening that Gekks so have energy prices!

However these are being addressed with 22% of the company's needs to be provided by the solar plant once built

c.€670m Market cap, less cash c.€60m let's just say €600m for extra months since y/e

€200m for ease EBITDA

EV/EBITDA of 3 ffs with what at this level IMO will be a 6-7% yield

IMO copper price is likely to stay high, energy cost pressures should diminish this year IMO....

When will it get taken out? It's presentations previously highlighted deals at c.5-6X EV/EBITDA did they not? DYOR

Am in, heavily loaded and holding as not many places you can get the income AND capital upside. DYOR

Cheers

Excellent given the price pressures. Divi intended to be half yearly which is good. Solid company and lots of upsides.

John I would point you to one of the links above highlighting supply side issues from one of big banks and likely c.3 year price target of 50% copper price increase....obviously DYOR, but IMO the energy prices are a spike and should "normalise" and ATYM is countering with solar energy. Also exploration etc should help replenish or increase reserves.

c.$200m EBITDA, growing cash pile, its EV/EBITDA is ridiculous still IMO.

Would be nice to see more dividends, but will have to wait for this year's interims and then finals it seems.

DYOR

Hardly any increase in production so all down to CU price increase. Fair enough.

To maintain future growth it must develop assets asap and increase production before the CU price bonanza starts to dwindle.

Interesting full year results with huge EBITA as expected. Well done Alberto and team. I guess it's key to get a sensible solution to the energy issue and hard for not just ATYM but most energy intensive industries to predict when that will be sorted but hopefully very soon. Cost guidance a bit eye watering but copper prices should remain high. Was a bit surprised the solar farm only gives 22% of total electricity need but maybe wind farm and other measures are called for too. No mention of divi for last 3 months? Let's hope for another great year for ATYM.

ABC Sevilla reporting always have a good insight/relationship with the mining Co's
operating in Andalucia

Everyone, worldwide is suffering from elevated prices for energy, at least we had the foresight to plan ahead with the solar park and ELIX..

Can't remember if it was Matsa/Sandfire or Cobre Las Cruces who have now applied for a solar park.

Relevant part of article below.................................................

As for Atalaya Mining, which operates the Riotinto mine in Huelva, it believes that “the rise in the price of electricity puts the industries in check. The dilemma is complex: if production costs exceed income, for how long can an activity be maintained?” asks this operator, who despite the favorable scenario presented by the copper market —with significant increases since 2020— , «the rise in the cost of energy becomes a burden and a threat, in the event that metal prices enter a moderation phase·.

According to the first estimates based on a prospective assessment of the energy market, Atalaya calculates that it will assume an additional cost for this year of approximately 10 million euros compared to what was forecast. And it is that, despite efforts to improve efficiency, in 2020, the Rio Tinto mining-industrial complex consumed 343 Gigawatts. "This is a challenge that the company is already working on" to improve energy efficiency because it understands that "it will determine the survival of industrial projects." In this sense, Atalaya is pending to receive the authorizations to begin the construction of a solar plant that will be able to feed the mine during daylight hours.

Yeah an extra £10m, $10m or €10m is really not bad at all - better than I expected. Around 5% of cash flow or thereabouts, as you say well covered by increase in the price of Copper AND we have ELIX to come to increase recoveries and the solar plant to help with costs as well.

I've seen the management have put a cost up for energy consumption for the year at an extra 10million.
Not sure now whether it was euro or dollars..
I'll put the link and translation later..It's behind a paywall..
More than covered on commodity price

RNS is a nothing burger - just a judgement about the calculation of interest.
We should have had this factored in already.

The Judgment clarifies the basis for calculating the interest due and confirms that it is payable by the Company. The Company expects the interest due to be in the range of EUR10 million to EUR11.7 million. Any amount payable to Astor will be paid from the EUR15.4 million trust account already established by Atalaya on 15 July 2021. Either party has a right to appeal the High Court's decision.
