02/3/2023 16:01 | Interested in your scheme 1knocker. I note you had a limit order in at 118.5 but I am not certain it rose that high unless it spiked intra-day. I mention it as you seem now to be in buying phase hoping for 100.0 and overall the share price does seem to be falling. Good luck. | mayers
02/3/2023 14:08 | I have a limit order in to buy at 100, to reinvest half my winnings on my two round trips. The market is crazy. We just have to be equally happy to buy o sell, depending on the price, so limit orders in both to buy and sell. GLA. | 1knocker
01/3/2023 16:15 | We may get another opportunity at 10200. Chart is indicating that it may get there soon. | hjs
16/2/2023 14:29 | (Alliance News) - The Covid drug Evusheld will not be recommended by the NHS for people with weakened immune systems. The National Institute for Health & Care Excellence, or Nice, said there is no clinical evidence that the drug, made by AstraZeneca PLC, protects against existing coronavirus variants or those expected to circulate in the next six months. It follows a decision by the Department of Health last year not to back Evusheld due to a lack of evidence of benefit against variants, and a similar decision in the USA last month. Evusheld contains two antibodies against Covid that boost protection for those whose immune systems do not respond well to vaccines. | philanderer
14/2/2023 17:28 | Angus , no more contemptible than you suggesting Nuremberg ,there are always problems with vaccines and reactives , they have to work on the safest principles and statistics that simply put how many lives are saved . Taking China as an example it would seem very clear that the vaccines here have done their work , did we need locking up for so long , who knows , hindsight is a wonderful thing . | holts
13/2/2023 15:16 | Indeed I am back. I got back in too early! At £110.5. I have a limit order in to sell again at £118.5. I have taken a total of £26 a share out of AZN in he last 2 round trips. The first of them was unbelievably lucky though, as my buy order triggered within pence of the bottom of the dip. I would have been gnashing my teeth and kicking myself for being too greedy if that had just failed to trigger and I had missed the chance of a buy back significantly under £100. Hence my caution with the second buy order! If the general market rally continues, I might move my present sell order out to £120, possibly even further. I want a volatile market rather than a rising one. Soon I shall have to start factoring in the dividend too. It is £1.97 I think, not huge, but something I would rather collect than not. The last couple of round trips have been unusually quick. Generally I assume each will take months rather than weeks. | 1knocker

09/2/2023 08:23 | Pretty pleased with the market reaction given yesterday's rally. Results are fairly good overall. | our haven
09/2/2023 08:09 | U called it right, I also bought on the drop last week, did not sell, very good results today. | chc15
08/2/2023 12:43 | CHC15 We all want to take profits but imho, the previous quarterly results has beaten the consensus expectations. I think AZN will beat tmrw as well. I look at charts after checking the fundamentals and charts are indicating it should go much higher than where it is today. I bought few days ago when they dropped to 102. There was no real reason for the drop. Normally, share price drops after the results and pick up after that so you may want to sell and take your profits today and wait to buy again after the results. This is my view and opinion so make your choice according to how you feel. I hope this helps. | hjs
08/2/2023 10:22 | That's the thing, stick or sell today. | chc15

02/2/2023 09:49 | From chart point of view, Azn has been oversold. RSI IS UNDER 30 and I feel it will bounce back to 106 soon. | hjs
02/2/2023 08:25 | Strikes me as oversold here.Maybe money has been sourced here to fund investment elsewhere in some bombed out stocks but a retreat of 15% in double quick time seems overdone. | steeplejack
01/2/2023 12:55 | 3 month lows, have added a bit, results next week, maybe the mkt has got wind of something. | chc15
31/1/2023 12:06 | The more the volatility the better, so far as I am concerned. There is money in those spikes and dips. | 1knocker
30/1/2023 12:11 | You think this is volatility? You haven't lived! | kasg
27/1/2023 16:44 | I’m not too bothered about covid as Astra have fantastic medicines for other diseases. As i newish investor from 118 down to 106,obviously I’m a bit concerned. I haven’t experienced such volatility before. Hopefully things will improve. Will they?. | hopefuldave
27/1/2023 14:21 | Your view on the possible Covid vaccine risks seems to me eminently sensible with the reduced risks of the current version of the virus:likewise your re-evaluation of the situation at an older age with declining natural immunity. Though it now seems unlikely as the Covid virus settles into the background viruses to which we are heir, should greater pathogenicity return then the balance for you may bear re-evaluation too. Good luck. | mayers |
