21/9/2011 11:44 | Solarno, thanks for the correction. I've made plenty of money over the years following Vandyk, including in Astaire, so wouldn't disagree with you. | warpedone
21/9/2011 09:13 | Sorry but I made up the monica of 'Doctor Death' back in early 80's after meeting him and discovering that he was a very qualified medical doctor and he was resurecting ailing companies. Despite the constant knocking he is a very bright and intelligent individual | solarno lopez
21/9/2011 09:08 | @targatarga - you are wrong, it was killed by Monk and the Blue Oar crowd, Vaughan & Vandyk seized control and tried to rebuild it but it was already holed below the waterline. The "Dr Death" thing was made up by Monk's PR adviser when they were defending the offer but I think Vandyk quite likes it from what I've heard! I'm taking the cash and leaving the whole saga behind. | warpedone
20/9/2011 19:15 | Taking the 2p chaps, why take a chance, over 100% return no need to be greedy. | kinghorm23
20/9/2011 19:12 | doctor death as he is otherwise known | lr4850
20/9/2011 16:25 | Correct me if i'm wrong but didn't Vandyks run astaire into the ground before he started buying a few cheap shares.... | targatarga
20/9/2011 16:16 | Vandyks should make a turn if they accept the cash offer and reinvest the proceeds in EVOL at the current market price. | rj allen
20/9/2011 15:02 | Oh what should i do? Surely, if there was prospect of Evolve share price rising in short term, then the vandyks would have held on and taken offer of extra evolve shares? I can't work this one out :-(. Maybe it is best to realise the cash and look for better prospects out there ? | ranoszek
19/9/2011 07:49 | That swings it for me. Cash in the hand and all that; especially as Vandyks doing so probably means they are not convinced by growth potential of Evolve. | lr4850
19/9/2011 07:34 | I will be accepting the 2p offer. gl. | tomboyb
19/9/2011 06:45 | @ lr4850 - the Vandyks are all taking the cash, see page 59 of the circular on | warpedone
15/9/2011 18:45 | Suppose it is the only chance i'll have on getting and improving my average of 4.4p paid for my astaire shares ? | lr4850
15/9/2011 18:31 | EDIT - that should of read --- If i go for 7 for 5 at th current share price of Evolve - even if i do that - the 2p currently offers me better value even if the NAV is 50% below that of the EVOLVE offer. | tomboyb
15/9/2011 18:13 | If i go for 7 for 5 at th current share price of Evolve - even if i do that - the 2p currently offers me better value even if the NAV is 50% below that of the cash offer. Relates to Evolves share price today ---- | tomboyb
15/9/2011 18:10 | I am inclined to take the offer. However, knowing what the Vandyks are planning would help my decision making; afterall, they could of bought evolve shares more cheaply if their purchase of Astaire shares were for the purposes of getting Evolve shares. I am a little bemused by their actions. | lr4850
15/9/2011 12:16 | I would also like to hear some views from people as to what they think is the best option. | ranoszek
15/9/2011 08:35 | why not take the offer 7 New Evolve Shares for every 5 Scheme Shares ? | rosco46
14/9/2011 17:14 | I wonder what the Vandyks will do with their astaire shares. That would be some sort of indicator to us- perhaps? | lr4850
14/9/2011 09:46 | TIDMASTR TIDMEVOL RNS Number : 2160O Astaire Group Plc 14 September 2011 Astaire Group PLC Posting of Scheme Document Shareholder Meetings 14 September 2011 The Board of Astaire Group PLC ("Astaire") announces that, further to the announcement of 6 September 2011, the document containing the Scheme of Arrangement (the "Scheme Document") to cancel the Astaire Shares not held by Evolve Capital PLC ("Evolve") in consideration for the issue of New Evolve Shares or a Cash Alternative (the "Scheme") has been posted to Astaire Shareholders today and will be available shortly on the Company's website at www.astairegroup.co. 10/9/2011 07:53 | It does look like a possible strategy, but i may get a chance to buy evolve at this price once i have got my 2p for astaire shares as my average unfortunately is 4.4p :-(. Do i wait for 2p an extra .3p or so or sell now? Is my quandry. Maybe there is a chance of someone else making a bid? | lr4850
09/9/2011 21:59 | I sold 2.25 million Astaire and switched into evolve, which is a much better bet right now. Despite the huge benefit Evolve will get from the scheme, the shares have hardly moved. If most of the minority shareholders opt for the cash, it will leave evolve even better off. And it will be a more liquid stock. | acquisitor
08/9/2011 13:48 | Could it be worth selling now and buying EVOLVE ?? More upside that way? | lr4850
07/9/2011 12:23 | have a look at TMC guys, mine reopened with contracts coming and ther are only vlaued at 10 million and they are a clear take over target at around 80 pence , they are now 24 pence , they could do gkp rise any time now , no advise intended .. | naplion
07/9/2011 07:39 | Getting there 1.84p to sell | kinghorm23 |
