There are plenty of good reasons why the professional Hedge Funds & Wealth Managers have been short-selling ASOS and Boohoo shares.

ASOS IN CASHFLOW CRISIS AFTER INSURER CUTS COVER
================================================

Ongoing problems within its supply chain have pushed up costs and caused delays in deliveries, resulting in falling sales as shoppers gravitated back to high street stores.

Following on from the unexpected delay to the publication of ASOS's Full Year results, there are now fears of a cash crunch at ASOS after a leading credit insurer cut cover for its suppliers.

In recent weeks, Allianz Trade, formerly Euler Hermes, has reduced its insurance cover for ASOS's suppliers by more than half.

Credit insurance is a vital part of the retail supply chain, protecting suppliers against the risk of retailers going bust, between the point of accepting an order and payment being made.

Typically when cover isn’t available, suppliers tend to demand payment up-front, causing catastrophic damage to a retailer’s cashflow.

The cuts to insurance cover add to the problems piling up for new ASOS Chief Executive José Antonio Ramos Calamonte.

Well, (unfortunately), as this is a 'free' board he can post what he likes.

Why should you care?

Now, personally I'd rather this wasn't a free board and everyone paid to post, but that's just me.
