JC2606,I completely agree, read their insight, ignore their price predictions. Best to gather as much info from as many sources as possible and make up your own mind. Also use some technical analysis as a way to get a more accurate prediction/indication

Justin Waite: "People are not understanding the significance of this...this makes Asiamet's Beutong an asset that is worthy of a big player, because copper is going into deficit...and yet I'm looking at it now and its down 1%, are you kidding?! The big boys will be sniffing around this like crazy. Copper is the commodity for the next 5/10 years."

The Manini,

I agree with all of that but what it amounts to is that their predictions are utterly worthless. I recommend reading the content of these reports as they do sometimes contain useful information. But ignore the predictions.

Most analysts won't go outside an 'envelope of safety' when predicting prices it's not in their interested because if they get it wrong they get discredited so if say an analyst believes Coppers gonna go flying and produces a report to back up his argument his bosses will review it and tell him to tone it down to say the upper end of the safe envelope then at worst they can say it outperformed even our optimistic target. Whereas if it drops back but falls within the safe envelope they're still in the ball park with their numbers. No harm done. Here the analyst has opted for the current price which is about as on the fence as you can get but all indications I've read from those in the industry or those that actually use Copper point to much higher prices over the next few years.

I love reports like that from the Bank of Montreal. Supply issues, demand increase and an expected growing deficit all combine to produce..... a flat copper price. The Bank of JC2706 reckons they are way off and don't have the courage to predict a more realistic figure.

Added another 6 figure chunk following this morning's news - on funds redeployed as a result of the HZM management's nauseating greed!

Unless we start to close the value gap swiftly, I fear this will be the target of a low baller.

Highlights of drill hole BEU0900-08 include: 456.0m at 1.06% CuEq (0.93% Cu, 0.15g/t Au) from 10.0m.

By any objective evaluation this is an outstanding result when considered against current, never mind future copper mining industry grade fundamentals:

Recent research by Mining Intelligence shows that early stage copper projects have grades ONE-THIRD below operating mines and that average head grades have fallen 46% since 2000 from 0.98% to 0.53%.

The next generation of copper mines will not only have less copper but sharply declining grades' the study found. Operating mines currently have an average grade of 0.53% while copper projects under development have an average grade of 0.39%.

Jennifer Leinart, Mining Intelligence analyst, warns that copper prices will rise. "Miners are struggling with both lower grades and increasing operating costs,"

>>I would have no problem with that since it would allow them both to take Beutong to 80% ...>>

I thought that was one of the feasons for the March placing?

Hb, not impossible but I’d be surprised. I’d expect any additional raise to come along with the bkm financing. We’ve already got two drills on Beutong, do we have the resource to run another two in parallel?

Mr R,
What chance do you think they could do another placing around, say 10.5p?

I would have no problem with that since it would allow them both to take Beutong to 80% AND begin some serious, fast track drilling to delineate the resource. This could also bring another major insti on board.

If they did this, I would STILL expect the price to double by August.

That announcement packs a punch. Substantial copper mineralisation for over three quarters of the hole's length, then strong mineralisation as they reached the end of the hole.

Peter Bird, Asiamet's Chief Executive Officer commented:

"Results received [...] substantial Resource upside potential [...]
Mineralisation has already been extended well beyond the 2013 Resource envelope..."

Earlier in the announcement: "Hole was terminated in mineralisation at 607.8m due to drill depth constraints (rig capacity)."

- no wonder they want a bigger rig which can go deeper.

Astounding news and we are still under the radar of many. Still a fantastic buying opportunity. I said a few days ago that we can expect RNSs before agm on 25th. We could have another before the 25th. I don't blame the Board for wanting lots of smiley faces at the meeting. Like some here I have held since below 2p but not selling for a year or two yet.
