Correct Arf(it's a pain) but it's got to be a slow news day when you spot something like that!

Too difficult to put a valuation on ARS as things stand. KSK prophry connect at depth? Have not got any drill results from Beutong, still awaiting 80% on Beutong. Then there's Baroi, Silver Mountain plus new identified targets that all need drilled. Then I'll point you back to BKM "contained copper in Measured and Indicated Resources increased by 207% in comparison to the October 21, 2015 BKM Mineral Resource estimate". What's to say similar can't happen at Beutong, Baroi, Silver Mountain etc? 1 billion is what share holders have been told is in the making, however if the board continue to find new targets, new resources & an increase in resources as mentioned at BKM that 1 billion could easily be worth a lot more. With that I would hold off know exactly what we have, value it before selling blind to a major for 1 billion.

With PEA on Beutong this time next year and with BKM mine being constructed for 2020 production, I wonder what the majors will be prepared to stump up for our assets...?

I think we are still are waiting for the main event on both SOLG and ARS, just don't want to sell to early. I've had a nice ride on SOLG but didn't get into ARS before the climb to these heights so going to hold both for at least 5 years and see where that takes me.

I concur markth126, SOLG has been by far the most lucrative share for me to date..... I'm hoping I can replicate the same with ARS!

markth126, surely you have reaped the reward for holding SOLG long term. Is it not time to sell...or do you not ever sell?

If an institution is ever interested in buying a clip (say 1%, or 9.5 million shares), they would normally want in at a discount.

Sometimes this can be achieved, either because of a temporary weakness in the share price or because the company sees the need to raise cash and is happy to do a rights issue.

When neither of these situations apply and the insti is still interested in buying in, they have to pay the market price and if the market is thin (as in our case) then the price will rise.

If you are a quantum chartist, you will expect the price to rise to its next quantum level which, in this case, I believe, is 25p.

It's the timing that's the hard part.

This upcoming period of time is going to be "news rich" for ARS. This really is not a good time to be out of it as the expected RNSs could land any time now. It's happened before and it will happen again. #patieneceinabundancerequired

Indeed, it would take me a long time (*) to get together the cash for that kind of buy. However, the really big buys are placings taken by institutions. On the one hand, they have more freedom because they have more money than us, but on the other hand, they can't just buy Asiamet whenever they feel like it, as Asiamet is not necessarily looking for a placing when an institution wants to buy.

(*) A long, long loooooooooooooooooooooooong time!

Sadly might not be quite so good. The two 500k trades (@12.20 and 12.25 sp) were reported out os sequence, an hour after they happened, so probably some form of private exchange. Still positive that if there is a seller, there was someone who stepped in at 12.25 to buy 500k. I don't think there's any sign that the block seller has gone, so much better this way. Who would buy in 500k chunks? And sufficiently connected to be able to organise with the seller? (Just idle speculation, I know nothing).

Freeport have been there over 20 years, doesn't seem to be a problem to them. Better than Congo!
