05/6/2018 08:54 | Mrpiggy - I can't understand why Beaufort's clients' holdings would need to be sold, rather than being transferred to new brokers. What am I missing? | ![]() zho

03/6/2018 23:56 | YeSs MT, I Seem to remember Dominic from the old Oxiana Minerals days, The Mighty Ox, and the bringing to production of the Sepon mine in Laos. So successful , the share price had a starting off price of 2 cents and rose to over $4.50. I remember right through this journey the naysayers bagging the company with all the usual, never fall in love with a stock, it will come tumbling down, there are too many placements etc etc. one of my best mates got in with me at 3 cents and walked away at 6 cents following his golden rule of taking half off the table at 50% and the rest at 100% profit. There was also a long period of around 40 cents just before production and when production started she absolutely flew from that point. Very happy we have Dominic on board plus we believe some others to join us at a Board and operational management level. The micro thinking of STEVE leaving his daily role was absurd. The company is now growing beautifully. | ![]() monttim
03/6/2018 15:55 | Indeed snickerdog. Got to be excited with BFS, new appointments, Beutong 80%, first assays and deeper drilling to start there too. Not many companies with this much material news coming over the next month or so | kjawoogie
03/6/2018 15:26 | Dominic Heaton is an outstanding appointment - over the last 15 years he has either been deeply involved at a senior management level or had ultimate responsibility for the development of TWO junior SE Asian based mining exploration companies - Oxiana and Masan - through to multi $bn dollar market cap producers. After stepping down last year as CEO at Masan after 7 years, he now performs an overseeing role as Head of Strategic Initiatives for them. Considering the world class assets he and his former Oxiana Metals colleagues at Asia Met have to work with, the prospects look outstanding for the team to deliver yet another junior exploration miner to $bn producer development story! | ![]() mount teide

01/6/2018 22:01 | Dear colleagues,The Union Board of Directors presented the draft collective agreement to the Company on Friday, taking the new collective bargaining process as an initiate. For us, this negotiation is the continuation of the same struggle for dignity that we started last year, in terms of defending our benefits and rights. As workers, we hope that this negotiation will be an opportunity to build a relationship of mutual benefit and respect, given the failure of early collective bargaining that was the main cause of the company's attempt to unilaterally tender our health plan without giving any kind of guarantees. .This negotiation occurs in front of Minera Escondida, which is the most profitable mining company in the world. Only in the past year he gave his owners $ 2,600 million in dividends. These years Escondida workers have increased our productivity by 35%, reaching 132 tons of copper per man, compared to a national average of 55 tons. This has also meant a decrease in production costs, which in the case of Escondida, the direct cost or C1 is close to one dollar per pound, which is substantially lower than the national average. Our project considers an increase of the Basis of 5%, which have been frozen since 2013.There are other issues that we should discuss that relate to the career, educational benefits and fair compensation in variable income that represent about 40% of our compensation. We have considered a term bonus that represents 4% of the dividends received by shareholders in 2017. The last term bonus delivered in 2013, involved 6.25% of the dividends paid that year.It should not be forgotten that the law contemplates the alternative of payment as a 30% annual bonus for utilities, so that asking for 4% seems to be a proportionate and fair amount, since this 4% payment is for the only time during the whole duration of the collective contract, this is a little more than 1% per year of validity. We believe that the time has come for Minera Escondida to change its selfish stance that has only looked at these years for its interests, to the detriment of its workers and the community in general, which has been characterized in recent years by a maximum demand for its workers and suppliers, affecting development and the local economy, as claimed by different trade union and political representatives of the region and the country.Directive,Tr | kjawoogie

01/6/2018 20:57 | Union representing workers at Escondida the World's largest copper mine, propose a massive $34,000 bonus per worker in the 2018 contract negotiations! BHP Escondida mine workers in Chile start new wage talks - Mining.com today 'BHP's Escondida copper mine in Chile said on Friday the union representing its workers has kicked off the latest round of labor negotiations with a contract proposal that includes a bonus of about $34,000 per worker at the world's largest copper mine. The closely-watched talks come little more than one year after failure to reach a labor deal at the mine led to a 44-day strike that jolted the global copper market. "The proposal is being evaluated by the company's negotiation commission, and we have 10 business days to respond," the mine said in a statement. | ![]() mount teide
