There's a pretty good chance that is the last of the big selling. Large odd number of shares just before the bank holiday weekend... let's hope for a positive rns next week to relight the touch paper

Nothing definite in the stock market on very short term forecasts. If the question is will it rise over next few wks/months then imo answer is yes and I strongly believe 20p this side of Christmas.

Alongside Steve, Tony Manini was due to be appointed Chairman of Carube yesterday - IIRC they raised C$3m a few weeks ago to fund the start of drilling.

Steve did not take any Director fees while at ARS, instead electing to take 8.5m share options in lieu of wages - i presume Steve's new role as 'consultant and advisor' will allow him to retain these stock options and therefore remain closely aligned to the future development of ARS.

I'd guess that he would be based in Toronto where Carube have their office. Flight time Toronto to Jamaica about 4 hours - it's probably closer than their operations in British Columbia. For comparison, flight time to Jakarta is 23 hrs.

Someone on another board recons it may we'll be Beaufort that may be responsible for all the selling, especially as it is below the 11p placement price (someone on here also said the same thing).... I'm inclined to agree! :@|

Yes, I'm fully aware of that Mr R and I'm in full agreement with tightfists post, it all seems a bit underhand to me if his real destination is Jamaica!

mrp, Carube are based in Ontario and have exploration interests in Jamaica and Canada.

Still reckon Jamaica is closer to home for him than Jakarta though

Hmmmm, the mystery deepens tightfist..... why say he's returning to Canada when we all know Carube is in Jamaica!

Pyglet,Family reasons I am sure are a key aspect - but take a look at the link. Steve was due to be appointed at the AGM to the BoD of Carube yesterday, the 24th. IMHO that date was no coincidence as was the one-day 19% rise in the sp!Cheers, tightfist

I must admit I was a bit surprised and concerned when I first heard of Steve's departure but this part of the RNS made me more relaxed about the matter:

We wish Steve and his family well for their return to Canada and look forward to his ongoing contribution to the success of the Asiamet as a consultant and advisor. I am also very pleased to advise that the quality of our assets and strong corporate brand have enabled us to attract some exceptional board and senior management capability to the Company and we look forward to announcing these appointments shortly."

I am still holding my shares and if the opportunity presents itself to add below 9p I will do my best to add providing I have the funds. A bit tough at the moment owing to some significant outgoings due any day now!

Article in the Times today re governments around the world wanting more from their resources. Indonesia was included. Sorry, havent got the article - was reading it whilst in the library. Talk of some wanting majority control. Maybe this is the damper on the sp?

Hi,I think that Steve was more of an exploration/starter sort of extrovert guy and ARS is now moving-on and a heavy-hitting development mindset is needed, part of the reasoning behind the change? As Dorset suggests, Steve is moving to pastures new and it lookups as though part of that is to be at Carube Copper (TSX). The attached notice suggests that Steve is being voted onto the BoD at today's 24th May AGM, with TM becoming Chairman: hTTp://www.carubecopper.com/uploads/1/1/0/5/110594971/cuc_pr_2018-06_corporate_update_and_sagm.pdfCarube has exploration properties in Jamaica and British Columbia; so I guess we will see Steve from there in the coming months.Cheers, tightfist

Everyone missing the point here. The next high calibre director that will be taking us forward will be connected to a big player.I think when this is announced the reason for steve stepping down will become very clear.JV partner needs a man within the company.Game changing RNS's on their way.

In the development stage, news flow supports the share price. They need to release Beutong drill news closely followed by BKM BFS. Whilst BKZ was excellent the big ticket items are the focus for investors.
