20/1/2018 11:08 | I am with HB on timescales. Whatever is forecast, add 6-12 months to it...I have yet to read a project is achieved all it's timescales to target production through the lifecycle of the project. Some things, like permits, licences, teething issues etc are frankly not the control of the Co, but the countries/government This is why cash resources decrease because delays disrupt timescales and then ppl get annoyed at being diluted again. Projects are de-risked during stages of the project...that is why buying early is not advised. Nearing BFS is a good as it gets with the risk/reward..all IMO | ![]() jailbird
19/1/2018 22:37 | Mr R, that's very optimistic imo. There are still many hoops to jump through...but it would be a great thing if they could achieve it. | ![]() horneblower
19/1/2018 22:27 | Correct,HB. A bkm starter pit to extract first copper should be possible within 12 months though. | ![]() mr roper
19/1/2018 21:47 | Are the management doing any presentation tours in the next few weeks? | ![]() cyberbub
19/1/2018 19:12 | For several reasons they need to start mining as soon as possible: cash-flow, defense against opportunistic, low-ball takeover bids, satisfy the host nation, keep shareholders happy etc. The soonest they are likely to achieve this is probably 18 months but realistically, 2 years. They can keep expanding the proven and probable resource at KSK and Beutong but this could be counter-productive for maximising shareholder value by encouraging early takeover by a major. Really they should now concentrate on BKM which provides the earliest mining possibilities. We need that BFS! | ![]() horneblower
19/1/2018 19:01 | MT - I would totally agree with that. You dont really want to be caught with your trousers down over cash to develop a resource and deep driiling comes at considerable cost. | ![]() charles clore
19/1/2018 17:46 | Deploying sufficient cash, via a modest placing if necessary, to fast track the Beutong operational programme planned for 2018/19 to ensure fulfilment of all commitments with respect to the IUP-OP permit would be money well spent. With the cyclical copper market now entering its third year of recovery - it would make sound commercial sense to accelerate the planned evaluation and development of the Beutong Project at a time when copper is moving into deficit, copper prices have been rising strongly for two years and new projects of considerable scale are in very short supply globally. The recent discovery of a huge volume of high grade mineralisation at BKZ has materially increased the level of resources, drilling equipment and management time required to complete a full evaluation. Consequently, it would be good management to ensure they have the necessary funds and personnel to fast track the evaluation and development of both projects in 2018/19 - as time, tide and the commodity cycle waits for no man! | ![]() mount teide
19/1/2018 17:34 | Cyberbub, You could well be right, was just posting freelheel's post, as others seemed to be also speculating on the recent selling. Hopefully we are through the selling and next week marks an upswing. | ![]() uapatel
19/1/2018 17:20 | I'm not sure about whether IR would be permitted to state that there was definitely 100% no placing planned, that would be inside information IMO. Stating that someone is selling a large block of shares would probably be OK because the same info could be gleaned by speaking to market makers etc | ![]() cyberbub
19/1/2018 16:59 | Horrible that some poor soul was forced to sell coz of losing their job but for those that stayed stong and kept the faith onwards and upwards next week! | ![]() the manini
19/1/2018 16:40 | Posted by 'freeheel' over LSE board, ....Message from IR is that there has been a distressed seller working a block of shares. It has since been taken out in an off-market transaction, so the share price should rise from here. He also said "Also someone was speculating about price being held back for an institutional funding - that£s most definitely not the case!". | ![]() uapatel

19/1/2018 16:06 | How do you know Mr Roper? | ![]() pyglet
19/1/2018 15:03 | If there's been a distressed seller then perhaps that late trade was actually worked over a few days? It could even be a Carillion employee perhaps... I would be sorry for them, but I suppose top up opps for others... that's the way it goes... | ![]() cyberbub
19/1/2018 14:22 | Yup. Distressed seller out and no fundraising. | ![]() mr roper
19/1/2018 14:15 | Seller's out. Ask now trading 9.16. | ![]() aim0raider
19/1/2018 14:04 | It wouldn’t surprise me seeing a few PI’s who bought at 2p selling around 9-10p as a 400-500% profit over 2 years is not to be sniffed at. We all are hear to make money when all is said and done... | ![]() highly geared
19/1/2018 13:54 | I've been told in an asiamet message group that the big trade was a forced seller who has lost his job. Just passing on the message. | leontitcombe
19/1/2018 13:54 | I have a sell price somewhere between 55p and 130p. Very relaxed indeed. | ![]() mr roper
19/1/2018 13:32 | Bearing in mind that we are already funded to bfs completion, beating exploration and bkz exploration. The conversion to 60% interest in Beutong will most likely be in equity to our partner. I'm struggling to see what would be the point of any placing. | ![]() mr roper
19/1/2018 13:27 | What would the proceeds of this hypothetical placing be used for, Charles? | ![]() mr roper
19/1/2018 13:22 | A large forward sell by an institution set to buy into an imminent placing would not surprise me. | ![]() charles clore |
