That was a dive at the end of the day that was! So on to the next week we go, I know Christmas comes around too fast for some of us but watching a share like ARS certainly makes the weeks and months fly by.

It barely makes a damned bit of difference to an explorer buba, our worth is only a small percentage of the discovered ore in the ground!Today we are at a point where those that want to sell have already done so and the remainder believe we are worth more ( much more in my case!).Not much buying today as buyers are looking(mistakenly in my opinion)for a better entry level and so we flat line until more news .....hence my first post today!

I think the current nosedive in the copper price might be holding back share price progress... hopefully 3p or so will find support...

Indonesia's government plans to acquire Rio Tinto’s (NYSE:RIO) 40% interest in the Grasberg copper mine operated by the local unit of Freeport McMoRan (NYSE:FCX), the country's mining minister says.
Under a framework agreement announced in August, FCX said it would divest 51% of the local unit to the government, but the fate of Rio’s interest in the mine has been unclear.
The government expects a written agreement on the transaction, along with new fiscal terms in a special mining permit, in the near-term, the minister says.

My 33,632 bought @ 10.58 also showing as a "sell'. Just "tidying up' my porty at the moment hence the odd number. Brings me to a round 600k..small potatoes compared to some on here who are into the millions!! 200k are tucked away from the big nosed tax man in an ISA.

Just tried to buy 2k worth of ars shares to top up and couldn't buy for some reason. I think there could be a large buy order in the system. Will try again soon

Madam - I am an OAP but still haven't cashed in my SIPP due to poor performance. Had it about 15 years and its down by 15k. Would have been better off putting my money in a building society

Hi Charles. I have put most of ours in my and hubby's ISAs. Used up the £40k joint allowances but still hold 71,000 in a dealing account.

I'm on my pensions so don't need SIPP. Not sure why I need money from sharedealing as I have enough to fund my lifestyle., I just like the challenge and excitement of my ARS.

True.
550k is a mere £60k's worth. Not enough for an insti by itself. Hopefully part of a continuing effort.
A close above 12.5p will see us nicely on the way to 22p by new year imo.

My main worry is about someone trying to steal the upside from loyal PIs....
