the only news which will move this above 5p ( and keep it there) is the Beutong licence award and a Strategic partner for bkm

Any other views?

Copper Rises To A New Level

Does seem to follow a pattern if a reasonable consolidation period then a sudden spike upwards. I remember breaking 3p took an eternity then 3 and 4p went in the same day.

Cyber - I get the feeling we are following a similar pattern so not a time to be out. The BFS will be the biggest re-rate factor IMO. Strategically I think TM will eventually sell BKM as a producing Cu mine to develop Beutong and sell that for a song too! Exciting times for sure.

GWMO had a 2 year horizontal channel and then 10-bagged in a couple of weeks...

Assuming the chart continues as it is, with no bad news from the company, then we are stuck in a narrow horizontal channel while the seller offloads. These can take weeks or months to complete (sometimes years, but I don't think that will apply here). However the seller *will* finish at some point... and then.... Just look at GWMO for example....NAI

...and not at all if it was an offshore fund such as some of the Old Mutual funds.

I don't think you need to report a sale like that until it is complete

The only thing missing for such a large institutional sale is the RNSs!

Thank you for your theory Dorset64....sounds very plausible. We will all know for sure when they have sold!

Mrpiggy, that would only be correct for shares that have been sold down on loan, not for shares simply being sold.

This looks more like an insti is simply selling out over a given period of time and/or a set price give or take 1/2p. I don't see this as pi's taking profits at all and think either the BoD are daft, which I'm sure they are not or that they know an insti is selling but do not wish to spook their pi investors. All guess work as none of us really know for sure apart from this doing the selling.

MT. I'd be interested to know your theory about the incessant selling and why.... it's the why that gets me!I emailed my concerns to TM and he said it was just people profit taking and selling for whatever reason and that once they are absorbed the share price would rise to a new level.I doubt that there is anyone invested here that isn't a bit suspicious by the seemingly endless amounts of shares being sold when all the news from asiamet is positive!

We had the same on sound energy where the mm was using stock and somebody said if you put a really high sell price on your stock they can not use it. Not sure if it is true but the price rocketed shortly after maybe just coincidence! I have a sell price of 120p a share on mine

Never left - appears to work hand in glove with the MM, by carefully deploying their ammunition on low volume days to get maximum 'bang for the buck' downward pressure on the s/p, and on high volume, price spike days via machine gun attacks to hammer the share price back down to within the post Feb trading range.

That more than the entire free float has been traded during the last 5 months, certainly begs the question; where is this seemingly endless line of stock coming from?

Mr RBeen thinking a similar thing...It really would need to be a good offer but with so many sub plots other than BKM (though that is fairly inaccurate, many of them will potentially out produce BKM). Plus Steve and Tony would be keen to see one or more of these through to production. One thing is for sure, it will be an exciting ride.

Wonder if I'm reading too much into the Asiamet twitter feeds but there are two very interesting articles on there relating to Glencore
the first is related to their investment in a brazilian copper Co and second relates to setting up a new co that organises streaming deals..investment up front to secure future production down the line.

Not sure it's the wisest move, trying to predict 6 years down the line. The reality is that the completion of the bfs is traditionally when the value gap starts to close dramatically in this type of play. It is a major derisking for the company and for any interested acquirer. I posted an old article up a few months ago with I think Rick Rule explaining the bfs and how he'd seen huge amounts of smaller companies have very little interest then the bfs was completed and multiple offers were coming in in the following weeks. I would anticipate something similar here if copper maintains it's rise.

I note asiamet have tweeted an article from cnbc where analyst's are talking about 3.27$/lb for year end.

Copper prices are high, the markets are bullish almost to the extreme but ARS potential investors are holding back for now.
