Funny how DSQJei suddenly appears on thread from nowhere (backed up by some other newbies), drops an exaggerated version of Beutong protests immediately prior to the BFS delay RNS. Hmmm too much of a coincidence....that said, if it is an inside job, you have to say well played.

Have a number of issues in how they handled comms during the last couple of months and have now made my views known in writing to the company.

However, that's done now and has led to a change of strategy - to fast track the further evaluation and development of Beutong.

Considering where the copper market is currently positioned in the latest market cycle this is a move i'm pleased to see as it will likely put the company and its shareholders in a much stronger position to maximise the value of an early trade sale of part/all of the Beutong assets; particularly in the event of a deep drill proving up a high grade porphyry core.

Sadly, the bod missed an opportunity in the podcast to spell out the cost.

kja - thanks - sounds very competitive.

That would mean they could drill 20 x 150 metre infill holes on BMK for £150k !

Modest placing? What modest placing?

Good point, most likely 50m and 100m drills to get the geotec work done and sink in a couple of bigger ones into BKZ I hope

But the 'new' plan may need 1000ft?

The drills they have can got to 600m from memory. I think that's the depth steve wanted to go on BKZ but need to check his interview

They may need heavier kit to drill deeper.

KJA - where did you get that $50 per metre BKM drill cost?

Most likely partner for Beutong is Indonesian or the Chinese. Looking forward to exploration on KSK targeting BKM BKS BKW and BKZ. Let's hope they confirm a porphyry at depth and linkages between BKZ and BKM. If that is confirmed things get very exciting. Worth noting cost to drill BKM is very economical as they use their own drill rigs and costs circa $50 per m, Beutong more like $250 per m. Makes sense to have a partner do the heavy lifting on Beutong.

Having had the weekend to reflect on last week's too stressful events I actually believe that Asiamet is now in a better position going forward with its strategy to partner Beutong. This will bring forward shareholder value and I suppose I always had a niggling uncomfortable thought in the back of my mind about how long it was going to take to realise value from Beutong. We are in a better place now - that is as long as funding for the next round of drilling can be raised at a fair value. Comms was poor but substantive value remains.

You’re always going to get protest etc. Look at fracking in the UK...

And it seems the students protest were at a roadabout in a town miles away. Good to see that fears have calmed
